Aug 04, 2018Hunt for Wolverine: Weapon Lost #4 is a competent if unexciting ending to this thread in the story. We dont learn anything exciting, but the cast is still good and engaging. Nothing wow-worthy but a solid read.

This was good, but kind of abrupt. I really like Cypher and I hope someone gives him a hug.

So a lot happened but Logan is alive and apparently brainwashed and the team finds out thanks to Cypher, who recovers digital proof from an assets company. The art was really really good and Soule wrote these characters perfectly. I wonder if Cypher's internet addiction plot line will ever be resolved.

The detective squad pulls out an 11th-hour win, securing some useful info on Soteira and its relationship to Wolverine. Quality character work and nice revelations, but I have some problems with the way the plot is structured and presented. "Misty's magic arm-tech saves the day" is used three times, i.e. twice too often, and Daredevil narrating the whole thing in the past tense makes it feel like telling instead of showing. And sadly, Frank McGee's flying motorcycle makes one last appearance to demonstrate that the artist still doesn't know how to make it look cool/real.

After four issues, totally irrelevant, paper thin and drawn out. Not worth your time or money, unless you are a fan of D lister detective Frank McGee.
