Hunt for Wolverine: Weapon Lost #1 is a straightforward and promising start for this spin-off. While the story is both competent yet conventional, the art of Buffagni and Charalampidis makes for a uniquely gorgeous comic book. As such, this one earns a solid recommendation. Check it out. For some, the slow pace of this issue and the fact it's all set up will be a downer. It's true that you don't get much more than what was said in the solicit. But for newcomers or Wolverine fans who don't have much knowledge of Daredevil the information given is essential. By the end of the comic, we know all the characters back stories and powers. Charles Soule has said that in classic noir style this tale will have a slow burn leading to an explosive ending and a major revelation. So readers patience should be rewarded. Read Full Review

In terms of progressing the Hunt, this issue does nothing beyond roping a supporting cast to Daredevil. The moody tone makes this issue worth a peek if you love hardboiled detective stories, but it couldn't possibly be considered "essential." And you can shave about three points off our rating if you're a die-hard Cypher fan and you don't care to see him turned into a punchline for the Nth time. Our recommendation for Weapon Lost #1: Skip It. Read Full Review

This was a really frustrating read, and if this is indicative as to how the rest of these minis will go then Im just gonna hard pass; this feels like something thats really going to drag on, especially with the readers already knowing about OG Wolverine having an infinity gem. Will it get better? It might, but I'm not sure how long I'm gonna stick around to wait. Read Full Review

I definitely loved the slow pace Soule used to assemble this merry band of sleuths but I hope there is enough time to tell a full story in 3 issues. Great art and I love the tone. I love the team of Daredevil, Misty, Frank, and Cypher

Welcome to the Oblivion Bar where the first round is on me and the pretzels are free! Be warned: like the pickled eggs at the bar, this issue is going to get SPOILED rotten. So the Hunt for Wolverine continues. And even though it was not as exciting as last week's issue, I still found parts of this interesting enough to hang in there for a little while longer. We pick up with Daredevil, of all people, trying to track down Wolverine. I'm still not seeing the connection between Daredevil and Wolverine other than the writer of these books, Charlie Soule, is the same writer in the "Hunt for Wolverine" books and "Daredevil". If anyone else knows a better connection, let me know. Daredevil realizes he needs some help, so he turns to F more

Daredevil goes into maximum hardboiled mode and treats Logan's absence as a missing person case. He recruits from the ranks of the NYPD, teaming up with Frank McGee and Misty Knight. I like the team and love the tone, but the pace seems slow. The flying vehicles and making a big joke out of crazy Cypher sit poorly with me, too. This definitely wouldn't convince me to buy the series in floppies, but it makes a fine MU read.

Just for Wolverine completists. Soule is usually hit and miss. If he has not plotted an exciting story (as he did in the great Astonishing X Men), he just drag things out like he did in his godawful Inhumans run. Unfortunately for this story he decides to bring one of the worst characters from that run, the super boring private detective Frank McGee. The Death of the Inhumans can't come too soon for that guy. He takes almost half the story. Misty Knight livens things up and there is a great denouement with a (cult?) character from the mutant universe. I really like that character so that saved the issue for me and pointed in an intriguing direction. If you are not a fan of said character, half an issue of Frank McGee might be hard to stom more
