Artist Alex Maleev knows those sorts of characters, and Bendis' style of storytelling (Daredevil, Moon Knight). He's also an experienced renderer of super-powered tales alongside Bendis (New Avengers). It explains why Maleev works well here. His action sequences can sprawl, focus, or shake the page as needed. Back to square one, the heroes compare notes again to try and figure out who exactly Leviathan is and what their endgame might be. Amanda Waller obviously knows more about what's going on than she has shared with the heroes, but the question is will she live long enough to share her intelligence (and would she, even if she gets a chance)? The final few pages of the issue are reason enough for some optimism that the story is about to move forward in a big way as Amanda Waller resurfaces. This issue continues the standing around and talking trend that we've gotten from the previous issues and really does little to further the story until a forced connection gets us there.  Still, not much to write home about here and the art continues to muddy and something I'm not crazy about.  On a positive note, if you're looking for Jason Todd kicking more ass than he has in years, maybe this is the issue for you. Pros: Any good conspiracy has people miss evidence by chasing up theories that throw them off course. What does Amanda Waller have? Lois Lane is a total badass. Cons: There are no punches, or in other words there is not much impact of this issue. Jason Todd should have barely escaped and done so by luck. He is not as good a fighter as the comic says. It seems that the series is losing some steam.

This issue was full of Bendis' trademark confusing dialogue, which he only decides to do sometimes, but lucky for us it showed up here and practically ruined an otherwise gorgeous book with a cool concept.

"Batman's going to blame me for that" This issue was really confusing. It created so many questions while providing zero answers. Why, and more importantly how, is Red Hood being set up? Why he seems to possess all the answers? How exactly is he able to take down Batman, Damian, Green Arrow and the rest without any effort? Why is action kinda hard to follow in this issue? And why the dialogue in here feels all over the place? This one disappointed me. A lot.

Bleh. The dialogue is really bad here. I couldn't tell who was talking when the characters were off panel. And even when I could, there's dialogue here that doesn't fit with the conversation they're having. I wouldn't harp so hard on this dialogue problem, but this whole book is dialogue. I'm not very interested in what's happening at this point. Let's just get it done with.
