You Don't Read Comics - David Harth

    Oct 27, 2018

Return Of Wolverine #2 is a better comic than the first issue because it focuses on a well-drawn, well-written fight, instead of the cliche early-90s Wolverine story that Soule is laying out in the book so far. The end of the issue sets up a reunion that many fans have waited years to see, but thats really the only thing to look forward to with this story if youre a long time fan of Wolverine. This one still has a few of the same problems as the last issue, but it also does a few more things well. Read Full Review

The issue is actually titled Limbo and it is an apt name cause that'swhere I felt the issue left me. It drops at least two gears from the opening issue and ends up being a 26-page filler that only asks more questions, offers no solid answers, a decent fight scene thrown in for good measure and the introduction of the actual X-Men into the mix. I am hoping for much better from issue #3 Read Full Review

True believer's Logan is working his way back into the Marvel universe in style! It's a nonstop adrenalin rush as the X-Man get's closer to his goal of reuniting with his teammates. We're approaching the home stretch, but will he make it back in time? to be continued! *** (8.6 rating) Read Full Review

There's a lot to go so maybe this is a bump in a road but after a surprisingly good first issue, this is quite a few steps back. Read Full Review

Monkeys Fighting Robots - Brandon J. Griffin

    Oct 25, 2018

Return Of Wolverine #2 is a clear step down from the first installment in pretty much every single way. Soule and Shalvey disappoint with this skippable issue following what was an absolutely perfect kick-off in chapter one. Outside of a surprisingly interesting debut for Logan's "hot claws," there's nothing of note or much craft to even digest. Read Full Review

Story-wise, I like where the series is going. I'm not too fond of the whole save the kid development, as it's an overdone cliche. Read Full Review

An easily skippable issue since nearly nothing pertinent happens nor does the plot move forward much at all. Read Full Review

There are some truly great action sequences, but Return of Wolverine remains something best left on the shelf, no matter how stylish some pages might be. Read Full Review
