Uncle Sam must return! As the Freedom Fighters launch another very public attack, this time against the Third Reich's version of Mount Rushmore, the team finds itself one step closer to Uncle Sam's rebirth. But their efforts may be all for nothing, as the devious, entitled, psychotic (and did we mention smelly?) Hitler III is hot on their trail, and he's pulling out all the sickest stops to shut the Freedom Fighters down once and for all.

The story is powerful, and in this issue, we get a sense for Uncle Sam himself that evokes some of the best elements of the Alex Ross/Steve Darnall U.S. miniseries/graphic novel. Read Full Review

This book is unintentionally raising lots of questions about the nature of Freedom and Nationalism and how it relates to terrorism. It effectively proposes a place for constructive Nationalism and its relationship to the aforementioned Freedom. Along with some intriguing world building and characterization, ti's pretty darn good as a super-hero comic too! Or maybe it's intentional…. Read Full Review

On a personal note, I wouldnt mind finding out more about Canada in this reality. Or, for that matter, more of the rest of the world in general. I suppose that will have to wait, though. The team has enough on their plate to deal with in this miniseries. Read Full Review

The Freedom Fighters not only feel like they're picking up steam with their endeavor, it feels like Robert Venditti is picking up steam with his story here because while the main formula of what we've been getting is pretty much intact with this issue, there's just bit more that gets me excited for what's to come.  Definitely a cool issue with excellent art that you won't want to miss. Good art can only carry a series so far, and while Eddy Barrows' art on Freedom Fighters continues to be dramatic and epic, it's feeling more and more like the series is a massive waste of time. Read Full Review

Perfectly entertaining, but the series has yet to sing. The series should be offering more than this, but it all just feels a little bit light. There have been some very nice moments so far, but there are often pages where not much happens. These are criticisms of the series as a whole, and this issue actually has a bit more going on, but the story feels like it is treading water. For a series called, "Freedom Fighters" they haven't made much of an appearance so far. I wouldn't mind this too much if there was some interesting world building going on, but the world building has stalled somewhat. I'll keep reading as it remains a good series, but it has the potential to be excellent.

It's moving to slow for me right now but at least we got back Uncle Sam. Give me some Overman as well as some Plasstic Men. I want to see the heroes of this world but we get very little of that in this issue and the rest for the matter. It was cool to see what the Human Bomb can be used for but I'm over it and getting tired of this comic. It took 4 issues to get Uncle Sam back. Give me some Super Powered action next issue or I'm out.and I mean super powered heroes they are now villains, peeps I would know too! And show me Uncle Sam throwing down! I know it's a maxi but I won't make it past this issue unless you give me more cause I'm barely holding on now...
