Aug 14, 2019Overall, Batman: Universe #2 feels like a story out of the Justice League: Unlimited cartoon or The New Batman Adventures " which is a pretty high compliment. The cliffhanger at the end of the book keeps the story engaging and has me on the edge of my seat waiting in anticipation for the next issue. With only six issues in the series and the entirety of it already released in Batman Giant, I have no doubt the story will continue to visit beloved parts of the DCU. If you are a fan of Batman or any of the more kid-friendly Batman cartoons, this is a must-read. Read Full Review

The writing is snappy, with some great dialogue and character interactions, and the plot is an insane ride that barrels through each stop with barely any time to catch your breath. It's the art of Nick Derington, Dave Stewart, and Josh Reed that really sets this book over the top, though. Much like Bendis' plotting, the visual aesthetic is fairly simple and stylized, but perfect for the rollicking adventure that's set forth in the narrative. Truly, I do not want to see the day where I don't find any joy in reading a Batman story where he sass-talks Green Arrow before jetting off to Gorilla City. Read Full Review

The best word to describe this issue is: fun. It is an enjoyable Batman story, fast paced and not trying to do too much. Loved it!

Another great issue. Good dialogue from bendis though I find Batman yelling out other heroes secret identity a bit outta character.

Batman and Green Arrow is a team up I didn't know I wanted and a Batman space adventure? Man, this is the best thing DC has gotten from the Bendis contract. Nick Derington is great as always, maybe a bit rushed looking in comparison to the last batch of issues.

Batman: Universe 2 was a ton of fun. The tone was light and Batman and Green Arrow make for a hilarious dynamic, even though the dialogue was a bit choppy between them at times. Batman visits Gorilla City and it looks like Thanagar now too, so what more could you want
