Tom King is taking his time and telling the story he wants to tell. This issue provides a lot of insight into where his story is headed. He's taking heroes that are underappreciated and putting them in the spotlight. Read Full Review

Ultimately this issue serves as a bridge between what we already know and what we're all about to find out, as we see all the chess pieces moving into place for the final two issues in what looks to be a very exciting end to an interesting story that has sent shock waves through the DC Comics fandom and the DC Comics Universe. I for one can't wait to race to that final line faster than the Fastest Man Alive, which is Wally West! Read Full Review

Heroes in Crisis #7 is definitely an issue for those who started at the beginning, with a complicated, convoluted plot and series of events beginning to knit themselves into something approaching coherency. If you've come to this issue first " STOP, GO BACK to issue 1. Otherwise, admire the art because it is fantastic. Read Full Review

The issue gets back to basics in some ways exploring the emotional issues these three characters have due to their heroic nature and at the same time drives the murder mystery story. If only every issue was like this, the series would stand out more than it has and possibly have avoided its ups and downs in quality and focus. Read Full Review

Despite my feelings on the overall pace of this series, this book ironically feels rushed. This feeling isn't helped by the art by committee that occurs, especially given as the artists are dramatically different. The dialogue, as mentioned, feels rushed to the point of caricature which helps neither the characters nor, perhaps more importantly, the readers perception of them. With the final two issues coming up soon, I truly hope that King and Co. can rescue this book from potentially putting Readers in Crisis. Read Full Review

Once again, Heroes in Crisis leaves us to question whether this run is a complicated narrative that will be fully realized once the last chapter hits stands, or if this is just another one of Tom King's convoluted attempts at grandeur. Either way, this title is moving at a snail's pace while also moving too quickly. There are plenty of "moments" throughout this issue, but none of them feel that relevant due to their execution. Also, the "reveal" that was promised is anything but that. As much as I want to like this book, it's starting to appear as though it will be more like an event comic that bridges one status quo to another rather than serving as a strong, independent story. If that's your cup of tea, great. Personally, I'd rather have a well-written, well-thought, story" Heroes in Crisis is not that. Read Full Review

I'll admit it " this issue of Heroes in Crisis left me cold. It's not to say that Clay Mann, Travis Moore and Jorge Fornes don't acquit themselves nicely with the art, but writer Tom King's script can't help but feel a little too scattered for my tastes, particularly since he's running out of time to stick the landing on his grisly murder mystery. This issue borders somewhere between okay and bad. It has its moments. I had fun with Batgirl and there are some good jokes. But I am not invested in the plot at all and even if I was, it is moving at a snail's pace. The art is good but it's not enough for me. Read Full Review

I'm sure there's an audience for this book but it isn't clicking for me in any way. The art is visually pleasing but it doesn't do much in the way of storytelling or accurately delivering on what the plot is. It's painfully unfunny and very clunky. Read Full Review

As writer Tom King cements Wally West as the murderer, Im guessing we will discover more in the next issue as it's all about to hit the proverbial fan. All in all, another deep and meaningful issue and while this is not my DCU, it is an interesting spin on the familiar heroes that we all know and love. The issue was also spectacularly illustrated by Clay Mann with additional artists Travis Moore and Jorge Fornes lending their talents to this controversial series. Read Full Review
