The issue is so silver age that one character even says something like "we are about to go silver age". I love it.

Absolute Batman #16
Part two of our Absolute Batman/Absolute Wonder Woman story- Bruce Wayne is on a desperate hunt to help his friend Waylon, now transformed into a monstrous crocodile roaming the sewers, consumed with a deadly hunger. Batman's last option for a cure is to turn to a god for help...but will he have to descend into the depths of hell to get it?
Not a bad issue, but plagued by strange plot solutions: Joker x Zatanna and Lex x Aquaman made little sense. The art is as strong as always. The cliffhanger is cool and I will stick with the series until the end. As far as events go, not the worst one...
DC K.O. #3
IT'S TAG-TEAM TIME! As the Omega Tournament reaches its endgame, the final eight combatants are put to the ultimate test-confronted with a decades-long stay in their own personal hell! Emotions run high as heroes falter, villains revel, and the Heart of Apokolips eyes its new King Omega. In the end, only the final four will remain...
While AWW is objectively the best absolute series, AS is my favorite. Last issue was a banger and the current one is maybe the bast in the series. I feel like Aaron is finally focusing on Clark now and we are having a better understanding of the character. While I like ferreyra art a lot, Rafa work is deeply missed. Very excited for Supes vs absolute hawkman.
Absolute Superman #15
In the shocking aftermath of the Battle of Kansas, Superman wrestles with profound changes to his life, his allies, and even his costume. But more importantly, there's work to be done, as we experience a day in the life of the world's busiest superhero-and welcome guest artist Juan Ferreyra (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) to the series!
I fell like the series is improving. For the first time, I felt like the main character was in real danger. Nevertheless, AGL is still the worst series in the line. It's a shame because Ewing is an excellent writer.
Absolute Green Lantern #10
Jo Mullein finds herself in the crosshairs of the bounty hunter Goldface!
I like how "absolute evil" and now "ark m" gave us additional layers of world building to the absolute universe. Absolute joker is definitely an interesting and intriguing character, which is amazing, considering that the joker is maybe the most popular villain in pop culture. They still managed to give us a fresh take on him. The art has a welcome horror vibe. I would read a limited series abou more
Absolute Batman: Ark M Special #1
The origins of the enigmatic Ark M are explored! What terrible secrets lie within its walls, and just who is assigned to protect it from discovery?!
I would read a Jorge Jimenez book even if it was written by rob liefeld. Jorge art is unbelievable Kinect and his use of colors is masterful. Thankfully, fraction script is enjoyable. It felt like a fun early 2000 book and I enjoyed his use of Bruce Wayne. I fell like, for the past fifteen years or so, people forgot Bruce and simply focus on Batman. Loved the cliffhanger. IMO, this series keeps ge more
Batman #5
A night out with Bruce Wayne goes off the rails immediately for Dr. Annika Zeller-it seems her experimental Crown of Storms has her marked for death. And if they survive the legendary 000 Gang, they'll still have to confront the sinister assassin known as The Ojo!
Shamelessly Silver Age. It's got the imagination, the silliness, and most importantly, the heart. This book is everything that makes DC Comics great - fantasy and humor grounded in real emotion.
Clever theme that I don't see too often - about how Superman sees Kryptonite as a form of rejection from his home planet. Sad stuff... very excited to see how this story concludes.
Superman: The Kryptonite Spectrum #4
Superman finds himself somewhere over the rainbow in this landmark issue- featuring the debut of a brand-new, canon-changing, sure-to-be-essential-for- all-time character! (At the very least, he's awfully cute!) What never happened to the Man of Tomorrow? The answer awaits in a form-bending, head-spinning, myxed-up melee of mites, men, and multicol...
So creative and well done.

Best issue of Superman I've read in a long time.

Superman: The Kryptonite Spectrum #4 is Absolutely bananas and i mean that in the best way possible.

It's a shame that the power fantasy is not topping the charts and selling out. It's is one of the most intriguing and smart comics on stands right now. It's the best X-men story of the last five years and nobody is reading it. If you like superhero comics, you should check it.
The Power Fantasy #13
The truth will set us free. Alternatively, it'll kill us all. Let's find out.
Dan mora shines as usual. The plot is intriguing. And I am always down for dick as batman .

I had almost the same experience as you. It has glipses of brilliance, but overall, it is very underwhelming. But I like the space dog and the combat robot that befriends Bruce :)
Yeah, agreed! I really liked Punch-Bot and the dog was also a great addition to the story. I decided to get the kindle version once it went on sale. But I have yet to read it. It's been so long I'll probably have to read it all over from the beginning. But eventually I'll get to it. ðŸ˜
Absolute Superman #13
The Battle of Kansas has begun as the tanks of Lazarus Corp come rolling down the streets of Smallville. Haunted and weakened from the horrors he suffered at the hands of Brainiac and Ra's al Ghul, Superman wages a last desperate fight for everything and everyone he has come to hold dear!
If you were to tell me that this series about Krypton the Superego would be one of my favorite to come out of this year, I would have called you crazy and an idiot. How does a dog outpace Batman, Superman, the Absolute Series, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Daredevil?
Yet Ryan North made me eat my words. This was a solid series and the definitive Krypton the super dog series in my eyes.
Krypto: The Last Dog of Krypton #5
Krypto has made his way to Kansas-but there are still so many miles between him and Superboy. When he comes across a home invasion-one that a canine with superpowers might be able to help with-Krypto makes a choice that helps him become the dog he was always meant to be. A long-lost pup finally finds his way back home in this heartwarming finale......
It's crazy! Krypto was amazing. Biggest surprise of the year. Issues 3 and 4 in particular were perfect.
Absolute Batman Annual: 2025
Some of the biggest names in comics take a turn in the Absolute Universe! Daniel Warren Johnson and James Harren tell tales from Absolute Batman's early days! How did Bruce acquire his batmobile? And what was it like for Black Mask's party animals when Batman first hit the scene?
A good ending for an overall great run. Parts of the plot felt rushed but other than that, excellent writing and amazing art. samnee is a beast!
Batman & Robin: Year One #12
The fate of Gotham hangs in the balance as Batman and Robin battle through a horde of clay monsters that have overtaken the city!
Agreed. This was one of the more entertaining reads from DC in a while. But there were certain plot points that lingered a bit long, while other parts felt they could have used a bit more breathing room. This ending felt like it needed to play catch-up a bit too quickly.
