Absolute Batman #23
In a climactic showdown, Batman is forced to battle an unyielding enemy in not just the Robins but in himself. More than one dead character signals a call for help…and a symbol of hopelessness as more friends become enemies.
mid and JW already did this Kara taking the lead thing better in House of Brainiac.
Supergirl #16
The Kryptonite Kingdom of El Caldero has been taken over by General Zod! Supergirl gathers her own super-force to infiltrate the Kingdom! Superboy-Prime, Conner Kent, Tomorrow Man, Lois Lane, Steel, Lana Lang, Natasha Irons, Princess Shark, and more of Supergirl’s wild cast! But before they can remove Zod from power, he unleashes a dangerous new fo...
it's solid but already very cluttered and full of characters by the second issue. I liked the conversation between Lois and Zod here, as well as the overall threat. The art is super inconsistent, and that goes for the Supergirl issue too.
Action Comics #1101
Superman returned in last month’s landmark #1100 issue! Now the Man of Steel crashes into the present day and finds himself thrown into the war with Zod! With a few stowaways along for the ride including…young Clark Kent?!The battle for Zod’s Kryptonite Kingdom has already begun! Is Superman’s return too late?
I really enjoyed it until the very last page. I didn't want them to invest even more in Stein's characterization. I know it wasn't Lemire who started it, but insisting on it makes him even more irredeemable, if he isn't already. I loved the flashbacks, they bring a sense of nostalgia and lightness to a story that is otherwise dark. I want to see how it all concludes.
The Fury of Firestorm #5
Firehawk and Martin Stein arrive in Pittsburgh with a plan to save Ronnie from the Firestorm Matrix! But is Ronnie too far gone inside of his own mind to truly be saved?
Absolute Superman is an absolute blast to read. This is a one-off issue, but I like how in this issue Jason Aaron makes Superman literally eat a lot of hits, but he keeps on standing up to make sure Metallo remembers who he is. Juan Ferreyra's art is also amazing as well
Absolute Superman #22
Superman will stop at nothing to see the universe’s most vicious madman brought to justice. But before he can get his hands on Brainiac, Superman will have to go through Metallo, a man with Kryptonite in his veins. “Get Brainiac” begins here, kicking off the march to a game-changing blockbuster issue #25!
Deadman #3
The third edition of this morbid disquisition concerning the attrition/detrition of the human condition, which, in the weekly tradition, boasts a four-color exhibition on some printer’s emission. Here, by order of an anonymous optician, watch closely this vision of our titular apparition (armed, you’ll remember, with fresh erudition)try and survive...
I'm a bit hesitant about what grade to give this issue. The positives are the usual: Absolute Brainiac continues to be a fantastic version of the villain, the art is beautiful, and Aaron writes a great Superman. My only reservations are regarding Metallo. I know it's a small detail and most people won't even care, but I wish they had gone in a different direction. I mean, making Metallo more auton more

Superman Annual: Year One Thousand

Now the story of where he went can be told! The future was infected by Darkseid and his Legion—leaving a trail of death and disaster in their wake—including the...
Absolute Wonder Woman #22
Diana and Circe work together against an impossible mythological force, trying to steal a win from the jaws of defeat. Elsewhere, a growing threat for Diana makes an evolutionary leap forward…
The ending was totally rushed, anyway, I really want to read the next arc.
Absolute Superman #21
The final battle with King Shazam. "Reign of the Superman" begins here. But which Superman will it be?
A very enjoyable read, but I can't help but be bothered by the "everything is better than ever" trope. It makes me uninterested in reading the next issue. And I'd really like a villain to come and destroy it all, you know... hopefully Zoom will show up. The use of power is cool but seems unnecessary in a way. I don't see much future in investing in this plot. I don't mind Wally's voice; I think it more
Flash #35
Flash confronts Heat Wave on the sea floor—and in doing so has a breakthrough about how he can help the most people with his Flashes of Insight! After consulting with Mr. Terrific, Wally begins using the Speed Force—in combination with lightspeed passes throughout the city—to gather more data than he’s ever done and begins using it to help people b...
I had a huge smile on my face reading this.

another good issue of absolute black canary
Absolute Green Arrow #3
After the horrifying events of last issue, Dinah must capture the Green Arrow Killer as she finally finds Oliver Queen’s protégé Roy Harper. But as the killer’s attacks intensify and Dinah discovers the unsettling effect they're having on Star City, Harper’s trail takes her on a journey darker and more twisted than she ever imagined.

Absolute Catwoman #2
Selina licks her wounds after her run-in with her mystery assailants. But she can’t linger long if she’s going to get her revenge.
I wonder if Lemire has ever written a series with good pacing in his life. The story and art remain intriguing, but for goodness sake, what a terrible pace!
The Fury of Firestorm #4
Lorraine has tracked down Dr. Martin Stein, but what she learns in the processcould mean the end of Firestorm and Ronnie Raymond!
Clayface: Celebrity Dirt #1
Before he was Clayface, Basil Karlo was one of the hottest stars in Hollywood. As he breaks out of Arkham once again, he’s ready to stage his comeback, but there’s just one problem: Someone already beat him to it, and Basil Karlo is already a massive star. But if that’s true, what’s next for the real Basil? And what does his predicament have to do ...
Just a comment... how many issues is this series planned to have? Because if it's 12 or more, it's going to be hell to keep up with. We have 3 issues and the pacing problems are visible. the story itself is okay, but it seems to be dragging on until bad seeds happen.
Barbara Gordon: Breakout #3
Barbara Gordon is just trying to survive in Supermax. Every day brings new danger… and more questions. Can she trust her new friend Sparrow? Has she clocked the real threats closing in on her?
