Aug 15, 2018While I hold cautious optimism about this series considering the bang-up start it has had, I am concerned about how far it will be allowed to go. Is this a permanent sea change for the Marvel Universe, or will we find in issue #6 that it was all some kind of Elseworld/Dallas dream sequence? Given what has happened already and the speed with which it happened, I hope we're seeing a real change in the future of the heroes involved as well as the larger Marvel Universe going forward. I'm enjoying Duggan's style very much here and on board this crazy story until the wheels fall off(we'll see). Deodato's art and Martin' colors are top notch but some panels weren't clear which hindered the flow a bit.

Artwork is great, story arc is pretty okay. Turk makes this much more interesting and their team-up could be something great. I actually don't know what happens next, Gamora with Infinity Stones and Loki whispering in her ear.

Surprised to see the writer cover what would normally take 4 issues in two. The pacing of this series certainly helps. It's not a bad story either so far . Deodato is on point as always. I'm not sure what it is about this series I guess it's just that jaded feeling from knowing nothing is permanent that takes away from this series. Still it's on the right track to being one of Marvel's better events

OVERVIEW Infinity Wars #2 a) Writing/Script= 5.5/10 (G. Duggan) b) Art= 8.3/10 (Mike Deodato) c) Colours= 8.6/10 (Frank Martin) Average= 7.47/10 Three issues into this series (including the Prime issue) and i am already loosing interest in this series. There was nothing in this issue that really blew my mind. Writer Gerry Duggan also didnt do any great work in keeping us feelling anticipated for the next issue. Let me start off with the art, which is the positive side of this review. The art by Mike Deodato is phenomenal, especially on Thanos. The art is so on point and it was the main reason why i loved the Infinity Wars Prime #1 and Infinity Wars #1. It kept this book alive and honestly speaking, i think the art will be the more

This is going downhill very fast. Art is superb but story is a mess. It's all over the place. Not a good way to continue the series. And next month, the spin-off one shots begin and now I fear for their quality as well. I give this one more issue and if this continues, I'm out.

Infinity Stone powers make the battle for possessing them tricky, but Gamora's the big winner. This issue seems to be an abrupt end to the Stones' Earth connections and a launching pad for all-new cosmic weirdness. That suits me just fine. I appreciate the good work that went into scripting this big fight; I wish it was supported by stronger visuals. The character portrayals are OK, but the art fails to illustrate the use of the Stones well. Us clever readers are left to puzzle it out from the words. Credit to the colorist - he does help. But with better art, we wouldn't NEED clues like "green wash = active Time Stone."

I don't know if Duggan know what he do. Because I certainly not understand a bunch of what I read. Like what happen with Turk. That seems cruel. I have the same feeling with Gamora than with Psyloke in Claremont hand. To damn powerfull. I understand that he want her to have each stone. I understand that she is the best killer in the univers. And she prove it by killing Thanos. But there, I don't see Gamora. Or even a Gamora controlled by Thanos. I see a bunch of crap ... Because the fighting beyond the one lead by Gamora made no sense. So far this is very confusing. The saga of Gamora trying to retrieve the other part of her soul is just not very compelling. With fhe previous miniseries the story feels like it has been going on forever. The character of Turk and the villaiins made no sense and felt like filler. Too many characters and too little development. Why bring back Adam Warlock if he is hardy going to speak? The most interesting part is the Loki subplot. Mike Deodato is a great artist but totally wrong for a cosmic book. His art is too pictorial, realistic and earthy. A dissapointment so far.
