Jul 15, 2020Now, I get it...this was meant as a teaser. However, if its sole purpose was to fascinate and lure me into the X OF SWORDS event, it didn't do its job. It merely frustrated. Read Full Review

Too many comics refuse to spend a few pages to describe one scene, and are such anxious to make as many transitions as possible in one issue.

I only read the Dark Ages half. Dark Ages is looking to be Marvel's version of Injustice and the teaser tells us that by showing that nobody is safe. Unfortunately on its own the teaser is a little barebones, but Injustice fans know we are in for something incredible.

You know, I'm tentatively excited about X of Swords, but this teaser didn't do a ton to move me. There's a bunch of stuff you'll only know about if you've read Excalibur, and if you haven't, you're not going to be told what's happening. The Tarot card idea is neat and I'm sure once X of Swords is all said and done, those cards will make a ton of sense, but like real Tarot cards, they're just kinda nonsense for the time being. I wasn't too impressed with this teaser, but I guess I commend them for what they attempted. The second teaser is out of left field entirely. It's a tease for an out-of-continuity Marvel "saga" where characters are dealing with an apocalyptic event and also they can totally die! This is just Marvel getting Tom Taylo more

I mean... okay. I don't really care about Excalibur and I'm mad that I had to call on my knowledge of it for this. And also Dark Ages is like whatever. I like Tom Taylor so maybe I'll like it?

The X-Men content essentially functions as a warning to stay away from a boring and convoluted story. The Iron Man looks more interesting.
