All in all, The Terrifics #16 continues to reinvigorate the series. Yang and Segovia have thrown these lovable misfits in to a less cosmic, more personal adventure and only two issues in, they have built considerable momentum and this one feels special. Read Full Review

Yang and Segovia are doing a strong job of maintaining the high quality of their predecessors and keeping that creative anything is possible tone of this book. Credit where it is due, The Terrifics reminds us with every passing issue why this is one of the last books to have survived from DC's initiative, The New Age of Heroes. Most of the other books did not survive because they couldn't take advantage of the room to give us something new, the time it should take to sell us on the characters/story, or the reasons to continue coming back for more. VerdictThe Terrifics has been one of the best titles in DC's lineup, and the main success of the New Age of Heroes line. The question remains as to whether Gene Luen Yang can maintain the high level of quality set by Lemire. So far, it appears that he has the potential to do so and has made a decent start. The book is still entertaining, and I am not about to give up on it so soon. This team has to be given time to form the Terrifics into something special again. I have no idea how they will do so. Im not certain they can. But I will stick around to find out. Read Full Review

The complete 180-degree turn for this series will be detrimental to its survival unless something changes, fast. With the lack of inspired scripts to work from Segovia is left to twiddle his thumbs while Yang looks for a way to make his issues longer without anything actually happening. As August solicits make their rounds, the series will seemingly live for the time being. It would be a shame for such a unique and exciting team to fall into obscurity. Read Full Review

While there is fun to be had here, this is hardly an essential read.  I still have faith that Yang will get things going and this issue looks great, but as of now, I still can't give it much of a recommendation except to people already reading it. Read Full Review

Solid installment. Evil Stagg is a bit redundant of an evil Java. Subplots with Sapph, Dog, Offspring and Mrs.T are okay.

Seems like all we are going to be getting out of this book is a book that revolves only around the main characters. Enough with Stagg! Pretty good art and eh ok dialogue.

I've been with the Terrifics since the beginning, but this was my last issue. The art was good, but the story is just not doing it for me and I don't have any reason to think that Yang is going to get better. So I am reluctantly making this my final issue of the series.
