While already off to a great start, the current arc continues running up until July and, with four issues remaining, gives the creative team ample opportunity to bring this story the conclusion it deserves. Perpetually increasing the tension, but making the stress feel natural and unpredictable, is paramount to the conclusion of this run. What really sells this issue is Rafa Sandoval's art. Forgive me while I go back to Tomar-Re again but I love Sandoval's rendition of him. If you've seen Tomar-Tu before, he's always appeared stoic, full of pride in regards of being a Green Lantern. This Tomar-Tu is a completely different character, his eyes are filled with anger.His body language signifies intensity his entire demeanor has changed along with his new post. I know that I constantly praise Sandoval's storytelling but there were some glorious splash pages that ooze with awesomeness. Hey DC, please make a poster out of the glorious splash page featuring the Green Lanterns charging into battle. Another home run for Rafa Sandoval. Read Full Review

This has been a great plot so far. I love the introduction of the Darkstars " a darker and more brutal form of the law. They're an interesting counter point to the Green Lanterns and everything they stand for. I wonder how far the Green Lanterns will go to survive and win? Will they dip into gray scale characters? I feel it has that potential, so Ill be very disappointed if all thiseffort is wasted, and when its over its back to business as usual. Tomar-Tu and Hal Jordan have a heart-to-heart that reiterates much of what we learned last issue. Then Hal Jordan tells John, Kyle and Guy about his conversation with Tomar-Tu. I expect the information will get passed along several more people, until someone's like, "Tomar-Tu wants a purple monkey dishwasher???" With artwork like what we see in this issue, I can overlook some redundancies. Read Full Review

Welcome to the Oblivion Bar where the first round is on me and the pretzels are free! Be warned: like the pickled eggs at the bar, this issue is going to get SPOILED rotten. We open with Hal and Pals talking to the Guardians basically telling them that we need to act unlike the "Zod dilemma" and they agree. So, Salaak tracks down a bunch of the Darkstars to sector 1 and John rallies the crew to go take them on head first. The Corp arrives to find no one. Well, that's because the Darkstars can literally teleport almost anywhere they want! Each of the Darkstars teleport all the lanterns back to Mogo except Hal. Tomar-Tu teleports Hal back to the Darkstar base for an offer he can't refuse.... which was to join the Darkstars. He of cour se declines but listens to Tomar-Tu's warning, which isn't a horse head in his bed but still pretty BA. Tomar-Tu basically says leave us alone and let us do our thing. If you do, we'll leave you alone. But if you BE triflin' like a fool, we gonna put you down like a baby! So step off son! Tomar-Tu literally teleports Hal back to the center of Mogo with the rest of the GL Corp only to surround them with THOUSANDS of Darkstars. The art at this part was amazing and so detailed. It was awesome! So, Tomar-tu threatens them AGAIN to leave them alone to basically kill bad people on site. Guy, of course wants to fight and John tells the entire Corp to stand down. The Darkstars literally teleport away with the snap of a finger leaving the Corp to realize they don't stand a chance without help. So, we end the issue with "urbody in da club" looking for some friends. Because we all "get by with a little help from our friends" don't we? Personally, Robbie V is ending his run on a great note. I'm hooked on this arc. The art is amazing as well as the page layout an spreads. This comic team is inter-STELLAR. The Darkstars are interesting and seem like a legit threat to the Corp and the universe. Robbie V more

just needs to stick the landing. Prime example was the Zod arc. I enjoyed the start of the Zod arc too, but it just kind of ended. The story seemed to race to an end with no ramifications. I feel like a couple of the arcs lately have been doing that. I don’t want this one to fizzle out too. I am hoping Rob will see this through til the end of his run.

Former allies make the best adversaries. The teleporting thing is going to be difficult to deal with. The Green Lanterns shouldn't be surprised about the teleporting though, did Hal not brief anyone else after he witness Tomar-Tu phase jump in the previous issue?

Like too many Vendetti books, we cover the same ground we did before more than is good. But overall, this is quite entertaining, and even addresses the "what make the Darkstars different than the Sinestro and Red Lantern Corps" question. Great art, too.
