I enjoyed reading this book a lot, I love a good noir story. I am also a Miami resident so I always enjoy seeing stories take place in Miami. Rich Tommaso did a very good job on this first issue and I am looking forward to seeing where Lou Rossi will end up in what is sure to be a very wild ride. Read Full Review

The visual style screams highbrow sequential art, but the story is as down to earth and relatable as can be. Stretching the genre can work out just fine in the capable hands of Rich Tommaso. It just looks like it may take a while to get fully established. Read Full Review

All that being said, the book was good. It did something that a first issue hasn’t done in a long time. Made me excited about the second issue. Tomasso immediately nails the aesthetics of sun-soaked Miami in the '80s. Everything is vibrant with pastels, the layouts are fun and inventive without ever being too busy, and he nails his lead character's voice with ease. Read Full Review

Thus far Dry County #1 is a solid comic interest from fans outside of normal comic readers, and I could see someone trying to adapt this into a movie script. So if youre a fan of the story structure of Ghostworld go ahead and plucking down some cash. Read Full Review

Intriguing art and wonderful scene setting isn't enough to make this comic engaging. An unlikable central character distances the reader and, unlike other titles by Rich Tommaso, Dry County doesn't have a hook necessary to reel the audience in. Read Full Review

Great first issue. Starting with the cover, those "Miami Vice" design is awesome. The story take place at the late 80s but it could work nowadays, it reminds me "Love" from Netflix with the addition of crime and investigation/detective.

A good read for those with untrusting relationships. At least that is where I view this going.
