Brilliant new tone for this two-parter, Simon Spurrier’s writing will have you in stitches, Matías Bergara’s art sets the tone and helps with the humour, and Jordie Bellaire’s colours is the visual glue which holds it all together. This is a near perfect issue. Readers of the original Hellblazer are sure to get a kick out of this. Beyond that, any comics reader in Britain (of a certain age because it is a Black Label book) really need to be reading this. Spurrier is crating masterful work here. Well worth the read. I enjoyed the art most of all in this book. I have never seen the artwork of Matias Bergara before. He is excellent and one hell of a talent. He brings the quality of this book up a lot. This is a fairly decent first chapter of a new storyline. Read Full Review

As a long-time reader of Hellblazer I can honestly say this is one of the best issues ever. It's written by someone who really understands Constantine and is filled with little nods to the comic's history. It's also laugh-out-loud funny, which is rare in comics these days. That moment at the beginning when John gets all spruced up and is looking sharp, walks out onto the London streets and gets splattered by an exploding shit-monster. Truly, this issue made me so happy and I don't care how weird that might sound.

This issue was amazing from top down. The story was interesting, the artwork was superb and this issue was genuinely funny. John's character was really shown off here perfectly. A guy who seems to be useless until backed into a corner when he needs to get the job done.

First I was unsure of the new artist, Bergara, as even though it looked gorgeous, I liked the darker style of previous issues, I thought it fit the character better. But wow Spurrier and Bergara worked amazingly well together and out out an amazing and very funny issue. My favorite so far if the series. Can't wait to keep reading this series

As much as I loved the story I found the art hideous. John is a dark , funny , complex and really deep at his core so needs an artist that delves into these dark moods. Sorry but this kind of art ruins the mood of a great book.
