Let me be very clear on what kind of X-men fan I am: I love most of Krakoa era comics and I think Tini Howard is one hell of a great writer. That said, this issue is just horrible. Duggan dropped some good ideas on previous comics that go nowhere, while at the same time failing to proper introduce the reader to whatever is going on in this packed issue. And his more political attempts never land - on the contrary, they are consistently poor. Duggan was always the weakest link of the Krakoan comics. But of course marvel editorial and their one huge event every six months mandate can never help.

I was excited about the first issue, but the series really lost me here.

I felt like this issue tried to attenuate the deeply critical aspect of the serie's satire by making a attempt at a sort of "there's hope" message. It's interesting, though, how it finds this heartwarming hope in the very singularities of the American middle-class way of life. For a series that was once the best satire of contemporary America, this issue pretty much fell to rock bottom.

This Annual issue brought out the worst of Wonder Woman rebirth. It just establishes that the Wonder Woman is "oh so kind and fare" which shows her as a simple, flat character. And she should be a complex, nuanced character. Also, it does not help that she is hardly the lead character in any of those stories, but only a distant figure of justice, wonder and truth.

I can't believe that this lousy issue followed those great ones.

His boyfriend is just a terrible character, and what's up with all the kids saying "Mr. Drake taught me life lesson one and three" all the time?? Daken is by far the most interesting character in this series. By the way, he would make a waaay better suit for the Iceman.

It's starting to feel that they don't have a lot to show here (aside from their transphobia, of course)

I hate it when a character that has been around for decades is drawn as a teenager for no good reason. And that's what happens with Rogue on this series. I was really bothered by this earlier on the series, but this was the issue in which this hit me worst, because it's all about Rogue's maturity, and when I look at the art I see the face of a 16 year old.

Truth be told, Wolverine was never gone. We've had Old Man Logan in about every X-series since 2015. I believe we could have a time off of Wolverine, but this is now the fifth miniseries about his return. And, except for the art, this first issue here just felt like much of the same. For a good Wolverine "return" we can go and read Thor #5.

Donny Cates wrote a truly great Thanos run, but now it just seems that he has no good material left.

Everyone is so excited for this straightvaganza,but for me it just feels like something I've seen many times before.

I'm okay with how silly these first-class-from-the-past characters feels. But this comic just felt like lazy writing, specially with the way the phoenix force was introduced here. Besides, I like that this Jean Grey is not the phoenix, and I think they should stick to that a little bit longer.

A lame event to bring back a character that marvel never really had the courage to kill in the first place. It's the return of Wolverine, but only if you don't count the four series named "Hunt for Wolverine" that came before this and all the 2974247 series that Old Man Logan starred in on the last 4 or 5 years

It kind of repeats most of what the first issue had to offer.

Once again, the writing feels obvious and lazy.

It's really underwhelming that the character still believes in X-man's twisted utopia even after the whole journey he went through during this particular series. The ending feels like a convenient choice for getting the character through to Age of X-man: Omega rather than a cohesive conclusion.

The weakest issue of the series so far.

As it shows for the first time such a crucial moment in Star Wars mythology, I found this comic really disappointing. The writing is cheesy and obvious. As the first Darth Vader was by far the best Star Wars/Marvel series, I really do hope this new one gets better. The presence of both Vader and Palpatine here is far from reaching the terrifying grip that came with the characters at the first series.

I usually enjoy comics written by Leah Williams, but this one is just not working for me. Other than that, Marvel's editors can not expect us to take both "Absolute Carnage" and "Contagion" seriously at the same time.

It would have been a lot better if this X character wasn't so horrible.

It's a solid ending. This was probably the first Old Man Logan story that feels like it could have some repercussion in the whole X-men or even Marvel universe.

Not so great as the last issue. And I'm starting to think that the brought the Purple Man in just for show and that this is taking the series nowhere.

It's a really entertaining comic book, but not particularly original.

This series is getting better. Though this issue is not as strong as the last one, it keeps the series on the right path.

This was a better Return of Wolverine than the Return of Wolverine.
