Darth Vader continues his mission to bring Mon Cala to heel! As the Emperor grip tightens on the galaxy, no tolerance for rebellion can be afforded... especially not when being fomented by a surviving Jedi. Vader goes in for some wet work in this brutal story!

A must-read Star Wars tale that has Vader at his finest, reshaping a world while hunting Jedi survivors. Every character is fantastic and every visual is a masterpiece. This is why Star Wars comics continue to be devoured by fans. Recommended. Read Full Review

There's a lot to like here in seeing the connection to the Clone Wars and how that continues to shape events as well as seeing what Master Barr may be bringing to the table if he survives this and offers up another path to be explored out there. It's a strong book with the story and setting material and it once again looks great and brings lots of neat details to the table to enjoy, especially for those that are engaging with all of the new expanded material out there. This Darth Vader issue is another highlight in today's new Star Wars comics and it's interesting to see stories involving the Empire. Read Full Review

While Vader was sent as a show of force to get the planet under control, it's likely the Sith Lord (after he swims out the watery death the cliffhanger ends on) is going to be far more interested in the Jedi given shelter by the Mon Calamari including Jedi Master Barr who uses his influence over the king to prompt a Rebellion by the Mon Calamari. Worth a look. Read Full Review

Once again, we find very little of Darth Vader in this book and that seems odd considering the title is Darth Vader. Its a good story, plenty of fan service (much like the previous issue) but how long until we get to see the Lord of Sith in some real action with some real development? Read Full Review

Sly Moores subplot aside, it is time to get back to Vader and his plans to use the frozen Captain Solo to lure out and defeat his greatest threat, his own son. With his abrupt interruption of Crimson Dawns auction of the infamous smuggler, things are bound to heat up further. Read Full Review

An appearance from Admiral Ackbar made us slightly more invested in the story, though we hope the next issues in the arc are either more narratively satisfying or action-packed. Read Full Review

I really loved this issue! The opening battle sequence was awesome, and the story continued to hit all the right notes through to the end. I liked meeting the surviving Jedi, and the strategy to defend Mon Cala was brilliant and has me very excited for the next issue!

Welcome to the Oblivion Bar where the first round is on me and the pretzels are free! Be warned: like the pickled eggs at the bar, this issue is going to get SPOILED rotten. If you love Star Wars, you'll LOVE this book. It's been a great ride since it started and this issue doesn't stop that trend. We find Vader on the planet of Mon Cala ( planet of Jar Jar) trying to find as many Jedi that still remain and slaughter them on Order 66. After they have found the Jedi, they will likely take over Mon Cala and bring it into the Empire. Everything is going well for Vader and his Inquisitors, which are basically sith that were once Jedis and converted, until the King basically releases these two huge whale tentacle creatures and destroy more

I was a little disappointed by the reveal of the surviving Jedi. I was expecting a more important character. Still a really good issue that continues to compliment the current story in the Star Wars main line. Akbar and Raddus are featured as well.
