I usually enjoy comics written by Leah Williams, but this one is just not working for me. Other than that, Marvel's editors can not expect us to take both "Absolute Carnage" and "Contagion" seriously at the same time.

It's really underwhelming that the character still believes in X-man's twisted utopia even after the whole journey he went through during this particular series. The ending feels like a convenient choice for getting the character through to Age of X-man: Omega rather than a cohesive conclusion.

AMJ #1 was really good. I started reading ASM in my teens during the One More Day storyline. I loved those issues that were just these long arguments between MJ and Peter, so much so that I got to learn every line of hers by heart. So AMJ #1 hits close to home.

I didn't actually like it that much. But I think it's necessary to go against this hate-motivated rating. I agree with some of the critics I read here, the issue relies too much on the character coolness, and this character doesn't need that. The first issue was way better.

It would have been a lot better if this X character wasn't so horrible.

There's SO much I like about this comic. The character's development, for example, and how it matches the political intensity of the story in a subtle way (or at least the most subtle way possible for a story like this one). But it's the presence of the Harlem that hits me most deeply. Misty says she rather take the bus to remember herself she lives in a city. The comic book, in its story and its art, really shows that they are living in a city and not - as most comics -, in a bunch of separated locations and headquarters. The slow-pacing of the story is at point, bringing us to the profound displacement of the characters. As far as I can tell, it's a masterpiece.

And I should say Conan is really not my cup of tea

It's a solid ending. This was probably the first Old Man Logan story that feels like it could have some repercussion in the whole X-men or even Marvel universe.

I loved this first issue, it's so much better than the other new X-men comics. It's still silly, like the others, but now it really feels like it's supposed to be silly.

I was excited about the first issue, but the series really lost me here.

That was an unbelievable improvement on the series. The writing is a bit darker, which put the characters in a more nuanced light. And the very strange art of the series finally showed its purpose, as it played its role in the oddness of the story. I'm now very excited about this series.

Hunt for Wolverine: What a Huge Waste of Time this Whole Thing Was #1

I really enjoyed this! I didn't really went for the character before. It just seemed like they made the least interesting x-men gay just so he would have any singularity about him. But I really found this comic to be well-written, full of heart, entertaining. I hope it stays that way.

His boyfriend is just a terrible character, and what's up with all the kids saying "Mr. Drake taught me life lesson one and three" all the time?? Daken is by far the most interesting character in this series. By the way, he would make a waaay better suit for the Iceman.

This was the weakest issue so far. The series has dragged the story and its mysteries for too long now. But it is still one of the best of Marvel today.

I miss Harley, but wow.

I'm okay with how silly these first-class-from-the-past characters feels. But this comic just felt like lazy writing, specially with the way the phoenix force was introduced here. Besides, I like that this Jean Grey is not the phoenix, and I think they should stick to that a little bit longer.

Not so great as the last issue. And I'm starting to think that the brought the Purple Man in just for show and that this is taking the series nowhere.

Are people crazy enough not to see how rare and amazing this book is?

The weakest issue of the series so far.

Kelly Thompson is the perfect writer for a X-series. This feels like an early Claremont run.

I hate it when a character that has been around for decades is drawn as a teenager for no good reason. And that's what happens with Rogue on this series. I was really bothered by this earlier on the series, but this was the issue in which this hit me worst, because it's all about Rogue's maturity, and when I look at the art I see the face of a 16 year old.

This is one hell of a homage to Kirby and one of the best comics of the year.

Truth be told, Wolverine was never gone. We've had Old Man Logan in about every X-series since 2015. I believe we could have a time off of Wolverine, but this is now the fifth miniseries about his return. And, except for the art, this first issue here just felt like much of the same. For a good Wolverine "return" we can go and read Thor #5.

A lame event to bring back a character that marvel never really had the courage to kill in the first place. It's the return of Wolverine, but only if you don't count the four series named "Hunt for Wolverine" that came before this and all the 2974247 series that Old Man Logan starred in on the last 4 or 5 years

This series is getting better. Though this issue is not as strong as the last one, it keeps the series on the right path.

I love this series. It doesn't use the group of characters getting together as an excuse for a never-ending crossover, but instead it actually gets to develop them one by one, through their relationship with each other.
