Dylan Burnett goes all out with the drama and action with the amazing art in this issue. Every page drives the story forward and follows the pace of the story well. Read Full Review

Comic Watch - Bethany W Pope

This new iteration of X-Force combines tight plotting, cutting dialogue, and an intriguing mystery with exceptional art. Taken together, these elements build to a fun, engaging, and thematically-dark story. There's a renaissance happening in the X-Books right now. This is part of it. - Review by Bethany W Pope Read Full Review

There's revelations here. There's action. There's heart. The issue has a lot packed in and really moves the story along. It not only defines the focus of the current X-Force but it also helps place the series as to where it stands in the greater X world. The comic has a classic style to it and Brisson definitely hearkens to the feel of the team years ago. This is a back to basics comic in many ways and in doing so, it moves the series and characters along rather far. Read Full Review

X-Force has a distinct tone, both in terms of plot and art style, and that makes it much better than most of the other X-Men books on the shelves today. Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - Jim Werner

I am still enjoying this book even if this issue didnt wow me as the first one did. I can still easily recommend it to everyone who enjoyed what Ed Brisson and Dylan Burnett gave us in the #1, but I hope the next issue has more for each character to do and gets a bit of the humor back in the mix. Visually distinct and tonally on point with a mix of cynical humor and a perfect roster, X-Force is the book to read when you realize protecting those who hate and fear you is a waste of time. Read Full Review

    Comicsverse - Peyton Hinckle

X-FORCE #2 doesn't bring the sophistication that the new X-Men series promised. The blatant lack of characterization and the predictable plot abase an issue that could've been much better. Read Full Review

    AIPT - Forrest Hollingsworth

    Jan 30, 2019

The second issue of X-Force sets up the stakes much better than its predecessor, but loses sight of characterization in the process . So far, there's a lot to love in small bursts but a re-tune of the core components of this book may be necessary sooner than later. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff

    Feb 05, 2019

Brisson and Burnett are rushing from action to action amidst time travel and interpersonal politics of power and authority. Its kind of fun to watch from a distance, but without enough time to really engage any of the characters, this mini-series is leaning REALLY heavily on the history of the popular characters to draw-in the reader. There isnt enough impact in the story thats being told here to make any one of the characters seem terribly interesting beyond the rush of instability that welcomes aggression and explosion to nearly every page. Continue with the narrative of the previous issue, beginnig to mix perfectly the events of Extermination and Uncanny X-Men as well as the announced return of Ahab. Personally, I like art very much and I think it fits very well with the tone of the series.

It's better than the first but Brisson needs to do better! I know he can too. Burnett's style is great for this series. I liked it because it fits the tone!

I trust Brisson. I enjoy the weaving of this narrative with Uncanny & Extermination. Art still not my style, but did not bother me as much as issue 1. Cannonball steals every panel he's in

While the artwork is still a bit wonky, the store still has me! Enjoy how we get more of what's been happening to Ahab. Can tell this is a team that I can get behind! May fight, may not be perfect, but that is what makes them most enjoyable.

Less impressed with this issue. Reads like early Ed Brisson Old Man Logan. Hopefully, it gets better. I know Brisson can do better.

Well that was someting. But not what I want. Really Ahab is in the hand of some military men and his hound too ? Poor rachel, we didn't even see the wound. They almost kill the X-men for christ's sake. Really Stryffe want a paradise for mutantkind ? Really again with the killing ? At least Sam try to be the voice of reasons Really Stryfe emissary is that easy to kill ? Damn ... Cover - The guardians of the galaxy variant. Very nice but not related. 1/2 Writing - The tenseness between X-force & Cable is nice. But I don't feel like they love old cable that much. The Story isn't badly writen. I'm just disapproving somes of the choices. 1.5/2 Arts - I'm mixed about it. There is nice panel (Like the splash), but their is also some I not more
