Jul 11, 2018It is a mystery of the universe as to how G. Willow Wilson manages to write Ms. Marvel so consistently and so brilliantly each issue, but she does it. Read Full Review

Jul 11, 2018It shows how good Ms. Marvel can be, and how effortless the creative team makes it seem. Many issues and styles are blended together for a finely-tuned, finished product meant for a particular audience, but enjoyable by all. Read Full Review

Jul 13, 2018G. Willow Wilson provides a lot of comedy in a story resembling a classic Spider-Man tale. The early relationship of science-minded Bruno and hero Kamala returns. The art makes the characters and Jersey City look great. This is an issue I would highly recommend if you just want a comic that will brighten your day. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Jim Werner
Jul 16, 2018Solid jumping on point for new readers, but a little boring for fans who've been reading for a while. Not a whole lot happens, though it does set some things up to be dealt with in subsequent issues. I'm a big fan of G. Willow Wilson (super excited about her taking over Wonder Woman later this year!) and I expect her to kick it up a notch once this story gets going, but as a single issue, this just wasn't my favorite. As a quasi, "fresh start," it works, but if that's what the goal was they should've just given the book a "fresh start" with a new #1. Read Full Review

Jul 12, 2018The metaphors that are possible for Kamala's "lack of control" here are many. Are we talking about growing older; or is it related to Bruno's return? There's also the science angle — the WHY of the thing — that has opportunity for a variety of special guests. All we can say is that the team of Wilson and Leon continues to put out a fun, accessible comic for all ages, races, and creeds. If you've been thinking of joining the Ms. Marvel fandom, here's your access point.8 wet sneakers out of 10 Read Full Review

A damn good issue. Well I cannot said I'm disappointed to see Shocker as a vilain (After what Zub tried to do with him in Uncanny Avengers). But That was a hell of good issue. That start as a transitional one, but in the middle give the action we needed. And that come slowly with Kamala & Bruno far away of there surrounding. Cover - Nice & in link 2/2 Writing - I love when Wilow Wilson is that good. 3/3 Arts - Nico Leon is always the perfect fit for the task. Nice layout. Yes she sometime give no background, but she give so much more. And when she draw background, it's perfect. 3/3 Feeling - I'm in love once more with this ongoing. 2/2

Bruno and Kamala team up again, and things will definitely be different this time ... naturally, it takes just pages for them to get overwhelmed with science and crime-fighting shenanigans. The creators wisely bolster the "greatest hits" protagonist pairing with some novel ideas about Kamala's powers and an excellent corny villain turn from the Shocker. Wrap it up in the series's usual distinctive Jersey City visuals and you've got a delightful start to a story.
