With so many questions regarding Kate Pryde's death, Gerry Duggan makes it clear that he has a plan. Without many spoilers, let's just say that Kate's betrayer should run, because Emma Frost and Storm will be coming, and they will not show mercy. Read Full Review

There is no doubt that this issue is emotionally sentimental and readers will be absolutely touched before the issue wraps up. The thought and time Duggan places into this issue definitely did Kitty right and paid her the respect she deserved. However, pandemics and this weeks conclusion may have taken the wind right out of the sails of what could have been. Ultimately, I think this issue will simply read better in trade and may cause an even more emotional response read together in my humble opinion. Nonetheless, dont let that deter readers from MARAUDERS #11. Read Full Review

At the end of the day Marauders #10 is a good issue the resurrection stuff happening little too quick for me I was expecting to have it a little bit later especially with the fact that I would have expected that such an important character such as Kitty Pryde would have had one issue dedicated solely to the funeral all by itself and not have so many things happening um all at once and that's all my only complaint . Geek'd Out - Nico Sprezzatura

    Aug 14, 2020

Frequent Marauders artist Stefano Caselli has a lot to work with in this issue, which should be obvious since much of this issue is centered around mourning and unexpected joy. When Kate is reunited with her trusty dragon Lockheed (who has been having a rough go of things lately himself), you really believe it; meanwhile, its hard not to empathize with Emma Frost after the funeral once shes away from the crowd and allows herself to be vulnerable. Don't know why this series always gets a battering on this site specifically. But anyway, I liked the issue. I see a lot of people getting... I don't know whether to call it upset, or nit-picky, about how Kitty's body was burned despite her being Jewish. I don't really see the problem with it, since cremation has become a more common practice among Reform Judaism, which originated from Ashkenazi Jews. Kitty Pryde is an Ashkenazi Jew. Also, it's pretty clear that Krakoa is brewing its own religion/spirituality, so from a story perspective, it makes sense to me. On top of that, it's clear by the use of Chai (18 in Hebrew) that Gerry Duggan is not trying to piss off the Jewish community. I feel like the adverse reaction is overblown and a grea more

Kate Pryde's death is undone in a way that manages, despite its simplicity and abruptness, to be satisfying and uplifting. It's good to have that plot done with; looks like Hellfire corporate intrigue and international realpolitik are next up and I am stoked for that.

I thought that this was a nice issue. I think Duggan has done a pretty solid job of utilizing Kate's death a few issues ago to further the story a bit in an interesting way. That said, though, I'm very glad to have her back in this issue. Ever since her death, it felt like this book was really missing something her without her presence. Hopefully Duggan continues to write her as well as he did in every issue before she died, as I think he has a really solid voice for her.

I was underwhelmed by the explanation for Kate's failed resurrections, but on the same page, intrigued by what seems to be yet another clandestine twist involving the resurrection protocols.

The calm before the storm. Good to have Captain Kate back but her resurrection did feel a tad anti-climactic.

Competently executed, but even on its own terms this issue isn't up to the high standards of the series, and as a resolution to a plot that started 8 months ago it's pretty anti-climactic. Looking forward to this series (hopefully) getting back on track in the next arc.
