What she feels she NEEDS to be doing is saving her friends from the Inheritors but instead, she is stuck helping this world's Peter Parker save his Universe from the threat of the Green Goblin, who may also be the only one that can help Gwen! Spider-Gwen gets to know the local Spider-history (tragic) and makes an uneasy alliance with AU Peter Parker (actually a bit of a jerk). This is a quiet interlude devoted to world and character building, and I enjoy the deft skill with which this is handled. While Gwen pays more than passing service to her urgent desire to rejoin the Big Dumb Event„¢ now in progress, her creators are laying groundwork for longer stories.

A lot of this issue is spent building this new world that probably won't matter after Spider-Geddon so that's a little frustrating. But the world is interesting, at least, or how Gwen reacts to it. There's a lot of exposition here, but at least it wasn't the fifth time in this arc that we get this unlike some other series. Not as good as the first issue, but still pretty good.

Good story! I can see if they have her ongoing series be on this earth. But seriously this feels like a waste to call it a tie-in to spider geddon. Art was good except many times Peters face didn't really match the writing.
