An action-packed issue that does not hold back. Superior Spider-Man was all ego, but now I'm not so sure. It's one of the only comics where a character's personality is changing as the issues come in. This Spider-Man truly is superior. Read Full Review

If you were looking for another shallow adventure for Otto Octavius, then you were surely mistaken by the end of Superior Spider-Man #3. This third chapter gave us a pretty clear idea of which version of Otto we are dealing with, and what is now at stake for him setting up shop in San Francisco. Whether it was the endearing character moments, the action, or the clever twists, this series has more than proved its potential as an ongoing. Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - Branden

Overall, Superior Spider-Man was my 'Spider book' of the week, moving the story forward in a nice three issue arc that brought some great character moments to the table for both Anna and Otto, while also delivering a satisfying conclusion to the events with Terrax. The art duties handled by Mike Hawthorne add some grittiness to the title, making it stand out from the other Spider books, like Amazing and Miles for example, while adding to the story at hand being told at the same time. Superior Spider-Man seems poised to take Otto into different directions than he was previously headed in his first go around as the character and I'm here for it. Read Full Review

While it might have been fun to see what Otto could have done with the Power Cosmic, it makes sense for him to gracefully give up the power which would in short order destroy a human body. Still, the door remains open for more cosmic powered shenanigans given Anna's deception. Worth a look. Read Full Review

This issue isn't particularly strong or groundbreaking, but there's just enough good characterization and interesting moments to make it a decent read. Read Full Review

What a very fun comics to read. It wasn't easy for otto but he manage well and I respect it more as a spider people. Terrax is a foe to recon with and the book show well his full strength. Cover - In link & nice(Not perfect but I feel the power in this cover) 2/2 Writing - All the character is well used. I really like Anna Maria. 3/3 Arts - All layout and panel is great. I like the fact they use grey color in the fight. We sense more the debris's atmosphere. But maybe the city should have some refugees or Rescue in sight. And the real faces aren't that good. But I nitpick 3/3 Feeling - I wonder were gage want to go with this title. But I full trust in his capacity after this first arc. 2/2

Superior Spider-Man is now becoming a hero of his own right, and that he has become a different man since he first became Superior Spider-Man, he never would have let go of the power cosmic. Superb issue, it was mostly action but this character has never been in this type of situations like Peter Parker has and it's nice to see just how different he handles the situation compared to Peter.

Cage makes it work for Otto and Co to be able to stand against Terrax. Hawthorne's awesome art looks even better with Von Grawbadger inks and Jordie Bellaire sweet colors! Seriously the art is fantastic. Hawthorne is killing it here.

Cage makes this just work. Otto shouldn't be able to defeat Terrax and Cage knows it. Art is great, and Cage is doesn't shy from "canon" of SSM.

This comic is pretty good! It doesn't like sing to my soul or anything, but it's solid and I do love the characters.

Nothing wrong with this issue. Its Just a classic tussle with a cool ending. I really like this series and its a lot of fun. Mike hawthorne kills it on the art. The only knock id have is that this issue was a little too much self dialogue when terrax and Otto would speak.

SpOck wins a desperate battle against Terrax, and the whole affair does a great job of setting this title up with a sustainable status quo. Anna Maria is on board as Otto's self-appointed "supervillain probation officer." The fight itself isn't going to go into my mental scrapbook of great-looking conflicts, but I've got a good feeling about where this title is headed.
