Beautifully detailed and filled with chaotic fun, the art in the issue is definitely a highlight. Coccolo manages to visually thrill throughout while mixing in great visual gags. Read Full Review

Issue #2 has some particularly graphic body horror imagery (and for a Deadpool comic, that's really saying something!), but this symbiotic angle continues to be intriguing. Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - mrgabehernandez

Deadpool #2 takes a step back from issue #1 by reverting the titular to silly, obnoxious Deadpool and creating an issue-long fight that ends in a draw. In other words, the tone and personality of the first issue are gone, and the plot goes nowhere. Read Full Review

Honestly, I love this. I think Wong pretty much gets the assignment

This was a ton of fun. The humor continues to be this book's strongest aspect, with one of my favorite parts being when Harrower tells Wade to "come quietly." In this sense, I think Wong really gets Deadpool's character. The symbiote growing out of him is a lot of fun, and Coccolo's art makes it even better. Plus, Lady Deathstrike's involvement was funny as well. As for the ending, I'm interested to see where Valentine's character goes.

It was enjoyable but writing Deadpool is tough. This is OK and has some good angle that I'm enjoying but it needs to try new angles or it will get boring quick. Coccolo's art is the hero here because it's perfect.

Still a solid, enjoyable Deadpool comic.

This volume is telling Deadpool's story in novel, unexpected ways. The art is beautiful, but a lot more delicate than usual for the Merc with a Mouth. The prose has a similar tone -- much smarter than the Deadpool norm. There's an honest-to-God bilingual dad joke (une blague de papa) in this issue. It's still plenty dirty and gory, though. The plot remains a little thin, but there's enough material to make for a fast, satisfying read.

Coccolo's art is really the stand-out of this run. I wish this book was a little bit more creative when it comes to jokes. Deadpool being lovesick gets tiring pretty quickly. Body horror is pretty fun tho
