While the title will never carry the same weight as the Avengers, these Champions are starting to become the premiere team-up at Marvel, and more people should start paying attention. Read Full Review

Champions continues to be one of Marvel's best offerings under JimZub'scapable pen, a strong, well-written team book that is a worthy modern successor to past offerings like the original New Mutants and New Warriors and consistently leaves you wanting more. This book earns the highest of recommendations. Read Full Review

Jim Zub continues to delight and entertain with Champions, taking advantage of every potential story-opportunity to grow the characters, ensuring a very rewarding experience for loyal readers! Combine that with cool new designs for Ironheart and the recently-renamed "Brawn", and some wonderfully vibrant art from guest-penciller Kevin Libranda, and this is yet another superb entry of Champions! Don't miss it! Read Full Review

Champions right now is a book I wish I was following more closely before. This is one of the more engaging of the ongoing Marvel titles out there and delivers genuine storytelling. I was having a conversation earlier today and I was thinking "We really don't need Marvel thinking of a Young Avengers movie, what we actually need are Champions." Read Full Review

Seems like a transitional issue, but in the good way. Zub seems to care about what was done in Avengers No Surrender (Frankly he's the only one) and give us a explanation for Vision appearance in Amazing Spider-Man (Even if he seems in better shape in Amazing). He add the dog to the party and I kind of love that. I would a comics with this dog & Dr strange dog (And Maybe Jonathan the wolverine ^^ ). I love the Kamala/Sam talk & the new mission. The end was very sweet, Zub to care about each character & want Viv to find again the road of Emotional state. Cover - I don't like it, but this in link. 1/2 Writing - We are so lucky to have Zub in charge. 3/3 Arts - Libranda replace Isaakse & I love each panel. The riri now armor is much nice more

The Champions tackle a modest infrastructure-repair mission in Tanzania while they chew through a heaping helping of status quo updates. All the changes and character work threaten to overwhelm; it's a good thing Viv's turn in the spotlight takes a last-act swerve into the supernatural. The art for this issue is a bit short of greatness when it comes to emotional faces, but the huge cast, fine details, and tour-de-force treatment of Amka's magic show that the visuals are, overall, well above average. The script's character work is magnificent so long as you agree to care about these characters. It pays off that investment powerfully; the final scene is a guaranteed goosebump-raiser if you've bought into Viv's story.

Really good issue. In Zub's brief run, he has added a new character to the team, stripped away Sam's powers, gave Riri a new suit, and transformed Amadeus from Chulk to Brawn. Zub always keeps the series changing and that's what I love. You could never get bored in an issue because something is always going on, and that wasn't the case with Waid's run

After reading the Infinity Countdown tie-ins, I wanted to read more of the Champions. I've caught up on the issues that Jim Zub has written so far, and I must say it just keeps getting better, with this issue being the best so far. The team dynamics are great, along with strong individual characterisation. Not to mention that this issue is also directly following the events of such series as The Vision (one of my all time favorites) and Avengers: No Surrender (which I really liked), which was a very welcome surprise.

Zub is finally firing on all cylinders and i wish the infinity countdown/Incredible Hulk stuff happened in this book but i get the Marvel corporate bologna. I still don't know what happened with Amadeus cho?? I almost dropped the book but i'm glad i picked this one up. Great developments with all dangling threads. Having Libranda on art is great. Just as good as Izaakse but obviously very different. Marcio Menyz did a splendid job with his colors!
