Furthermore, it develops the bond between Oya and Nekra's rising star, which is a rare relationship even within the X-Men franchise. Sabretooth & The Exiles feels very much like Hellions which I liked. LaValle writes nice team dynamic which is kinda similar to Wells' book but still manages to be somewhat fresh and interesting. The art is a little bit rough for my taste.

This has nothing to do with the comic, as I don't have a ton to say about the comic. The comic is good, you should be reading it, especially if you liked Hellions. But there's a data page in this issue that talks about the history of the birth control pill. (Something this series, and its predecessor, does is tie the plot to historical instances, usually through a left-leaning lens. Which is totally cool with me. Thumbs up.) This page somewhat implies that the modern day birth control pill is free of the hormonal side effects that plagued the early trials of the drug. This isn't true. As someone who knows at least, like, three women, it's apparent that birth control pills still majorly fuck with the hormones of women. Not that I'm anti-birt more

The best issue of LaValle & Kirk's work on Sabretooth since the first, in my opinion. For whatever reason, everything just came together more smoothly for me here. Based on how this went, I'm thinking we won't see what's inside of Orphan-Maker's suit, unfortunately, but I do still appreciate that he and Nanny are being used after Zeb Wells's awesome run on Hellions wrapped up a while ago.

The story marches forward at a brisk pace. The script features tight cross-cuts and some juicy dialogue. The bones of the art are great, though I'd like to see a little more detail on them. I feel similarly about the content; although the plot and character developments are good, they could dig deeper. Victor LaValle has read a lot about the dark side of medical history and he's eager to demonstrate that. I find it charming--for now--but I wouldn't blame a reader for disliking it.

I don't know man...I'm just not really feeling this. For whatever reason, LaValle seems to be writing Sabretooth almost completely differently than he wrote him in the first series. He doesn't act or talk like I would've expected him to. The pacing of the story seems off too...some things happening far too quickly, jumping around unexpectedly...it just seems a bit sloppy.

Again, the art still fine but the layout are boring. It feel like an adaptation of an arcade video game ( Marvel ultimate alliance style )
