    Comic Crusaders - Jennifer DeRoss

Regardless of how you came to this series, or this character, you do not want to miss out on this arc. This issue sets the stage for something huge and does it in a way that really highlights what these characters are capable of along with the histories they have with one another. We are getting a chance to seeall of them go. Read Full Review

The issue brings up another fear, as we worry about what will happen to this comic after the upcoming departure of Bendis? That's all we need - something else to be concerned about! Read Full Review

Black Nerd Problems - Jordan Calhoun

Overall, a dark turn with high stakes turns them up even higher, and the stage is set for a thrilling finale with a lot of potential. I'm all in for this and you should be, too. Read Full Review

    Comic Watch - Ryne Wiley

Jessica gets put under the twisted Purple microscope for a majority of the issue, but the cat and mouse game is far from over. The balance of power changes hands several times and the dizzying effects bring the reader into the psychological torment. Combined with some beautiful layouts that escalate the action, this issue is anxiety-inducing, to say the least. Read Full Review

    Razorfine - Alan Rapp

    Dec 29, 2017

Aside from the bizarre sudden immortality of the character (an all-too-convenient plot-point to possibly to allow David Tennant to reprise him on Netflix?), the comic is creepily entertaining while featuring some amusing dark comedy. Worth a look. Read Full Review

With a heavy dose of Purple, this was the best issue of this arc. Jessica dropped the ball, big time. We should expect Bendis to go big in his final farewell to one of his most beloved characters. Read Full Review

    Graphic Policy - Logan Dalton

    Dec 27, 2017

"Purple" is the best arc ofJessica Jonesso far because the stakes have been so personal with Killgrave going after Jessica's family, friends, and mental state instead of trying to kill all the Avengers like in their first meeting in Alias. Jessica Jones#15 is a fairly strong middle chapter of the storyline as Brian Michael Bendis, Michael Gaydos, and Matt Hollingsworth continue to depict Killgrave as a gaslighting abuser with superpowers. They posit the friendship between Jessica and Carol as an equal reaction to him, but this relationship starts to become twisted in the Purple Man's hands. Read Full Review

This arc of Jessica Jones, when collected, will no doubt stand as one of my favorite stories in recent memory. However, this particular issue is probably skippable if you're just looking to keep along with the general story, and it's certainly lends credence to waiting for the trade. Read Full Review

It's finally time for a direct Jessica Jones/Killgrave confrontation. Brian Michael Bendis twists expectations magnificently after a head fake toward a would-be-disappointing "Netflix Killgrave gave me nifty ideas about making him a contrite monster" direction. Events actually play out in a *far* more interesting manner. While this series as a whole has had some pacing problems, within this issue the inevitable, awful progress from page to page is essentially perfect. It all builds to a terrifically intriguing cliffhanger; besides being enjoyable on its own, this issue sells the ˜ ˜ ˜ ˜  out of #16.

In my opinion, this issue puts this series over the top and better than Alias. Bendis and Gaydos write and draw Jessica so, so well and Killgrave is genuinely terrifying. Fantastic character growth throughout the series for Jessica as well

Carol Danvers and Ultimate Nick Fury lookalike son of the original Nick Fury hiring Kraven the Hunter to shoot Purple Man in the heart while he speaks to Jessica Jones... Who could even imagine such a thing happening? But here it is. This is why Earth-616 is worth its retcons and other crap. Really, even though Season 1 of Jessica Jones was cool, the comics are so much cooler and weirder in a good way... Man, I wish Killgrave was unkillable in MCU so seasons 2 and 3 of the show weren't such an awful mess.

Not so great as the last issue. And I'm starting to think that the brought the Purple Man in just for show and that this is taking the series nowhere.
