Action Comics - 9/10 Backup - 8.5/10

Very solid story! Brisson's nailed Slade's character in this origin story

This had some funny moments but overall had a very sluggish pace I was one of the people defending this series at first, but I gotta admit it should have finished a couple issues ago

Ehh, I dunno Wasn't really feeling this story, feels like theres no real plan here

Its rare for a single issue to have pacing this good

This is one of those runs that slowly gets better and better

Superman - 9/10 Aquaman - 7/10

Fun issue, I loved seeing how Duggan wrote all these characters and their interactions but wow, now you have to read issues of ASM and a whole ass event to see where the plots from this run go??

Batman & Flash - 6/10 Batman & Aquaman - 3/10, this one was so boring and messy I couldn't even finish it Batman & Black Adam - 9/10, now THIS is a writer I want at DC, great stuff for a short story, interesting time to set it too Riddler - 9/10, again very solid for a short story

This title needs new writers...

I'm gonna miss this series...

The art did a lot of the heavy lifting here, but this was very fun

It all comes together here! King perfected the pacing in this issue loved this!

Hawkman - 7.5/10, this wasn't very well written and theres only so much the writer can do in a story this short but it was still pretty fun Backup - 7.5/10

This was quite messy, but it did work to the book's advantage

Aaron did a great job with this story

Detective Comics - 8/10, the ending felt a bit rushed but this was one of the better issues of Tamaki's run Gotham Girl - 8/10

No way in hell im reading the batman/zatanna story, i'd rather watch paint dry... Alfred Pennyworth - 5.5/10, this just came across as dull, alfreds one of those characters i only want written well Birds of Prey - 1/10, this has got to be one of the worst endings ive ever read to a comic story, miracle molly's actions here made absolutely no sense as well. I'm not normally the one to cry about character assassination but wtf was this writer thinking, this completely contradicts who she was in tynion's batman run. Wow this was an amazingly terrible ending Ace - 10/10, perfect ending

I see what Aaron tried to do here but it just didn't really work, this whole runs starting to turn back to the hot mess it was

Super fun stuff, I absolutely love the direction this tie in is going

This was surprisingly decent, I had low expectations for this as I'm not the biggest fan of fitzmartin, but this was pretty fun

Comics don't get much better than this...

I'm sorry, I love JMD but this ending was just terrible, it felt really cliched and predictable and the script was pretty cheesy

Sampere's art kinda carried this, but it was pretty fun. Even if the script is a little dull, the stories quite enjoyable.

First half of this started a bit slow for me, but the latter half that featured Kang was really fun to read and set up a nice cliffhanger. Kang's always been one of those villains I enjoy reading.

Some nice juxtaposition from PKJ here, and damn Mongul had an awful upbringing

Team-Up - 7.5/10 Life of Purpose - 8/10, I've not been the biggest fan of Jeremy Adams but this story had a nice message to it and managed to convey it in a fun way Survivors - 6/10, beautiful artwork but the writing was a bit average The Pariah - 9/10, for a short story about the 'villain's' motivations this was well written, knew what i was in for when I saw PKJ was writing it Because the Night - 5/10, nice cliffhanger but I just don't think Stephanie Phillips is great at writing engaging stories

This was a bit cheesy but I found it to be pretty enjoyable and thought it wrapped up the event pretty well

Painfully average, I really hope Brisson isn't attached to the upcoming batman incorporated series

No Carnage comic has any right to be this good

This just felt pointless, in no way does this character bring anything new to the table The script was also pretty dull

Detective Comics - 8.5/10, this was a significant improvement compared to the previous part, really enjoying the way riddlers used here Gotham Girl - 7.5/10

A lot of this felt a bit choppy and rushed, especially some of the dialogue but I thought this was pretty enjoyable overall, it was an interesting way to end the book

I don't care if these stories don't add much to the plot, unnecessary issues will always be a thing in comics but they were just so damn boring to get through

Stopped with the Zatanna story a couple issues ago, found it unbearably boring Plastic Man - 8.5/10, covered themes we've already seen but I found this to be very fun Birds of Prey - 5.5/10, this chapter felt a bit disjointed, I don't really care for the characters Ace - 10/10, Mark Russell nailed every single bit of this, this had the perfect mixture of humour, heart and ingenuity

The script could have been much better, but I found the plot here pretty entertaining This was a significant improvement to some of the previous issues

This was actually really enjoyable but I just feel the very end was a bit awkwardly executed Didn't help that this had to be limited to 22 pages

This just isn't clicking with me, don't see whats so special about this story I don't want to pretend its amazing because it has an amazing writer Not much actually happened here

Another superb chapter by Ram V. Loved some of the concepts that were introduced here

This was absolutely ridiculous and could have been executed much better, but it was enjoyable nonetheless and did leave me wanting more

Nice character work and engaging plot points here I enjoyed this a lot

This one just didn't click with me like the other chapters of this story, not much actually happened here

Amazing premise here, this was a massive improvement to the first issue in every way possible Loved some of the social commentary and satirical elements here by Williamson, this may be the most ambitious book he's worked on!

Enjoying this series a lot, I finally have a reason to care about the character of carnage Great work by Ram V once again!

Detective Comics - 5/10, I don't actually mind them cashing in on the movie here and stealing elements but this exciting concept couldn't have been more soulless, Tamaki did not do a great job here Gotham Girl - 9.5/10, wow this was a very pleasant surprise, loved the story here a lot and the direction this took her character, nice dialogue too!

Beautiful art and a nice message to the story but this was so dragged out and boringly written I just don't think the writings been very good on the wonder woman titles this year

Decent first half, but the latter went very downhill, got a bit messy and annoying at points

This one started off as a bit of a slow burn but got better as it went on, I loved the ending to this one a lot

The artwork and layouts were absolutely phenomenal, didn't mind the story but the script could have been better

Wally and Wallace shared a great dynamic here, loved this issue a lot, definitely one of the better ones

The story went downhill here imo, cheesy dialogue, uninspired plots and a plain ridiculous cliffhanger Still pretty fun, but not great

It had its moments but overall this felt a bit souless

Batman - 10/10, this is Williamson's finest work if you ask me Batman vs Deathstroke - 8.5/10, a bit unnecessary and covering familiar ground but great for a backup nonetheless

Fucking hilarious This is a 1000x better than that crossover they forced last issue

This one surpassed my expectations, Williamson just set a very high standard for this event

The writing wasn't anything special but the layout was very refreshing and made this a real fun ride

The main story here is just pretty stupid and feels like its written by a fan, seems a bit ... cheap to me, 5.5/10 However, the backup story was nothing but phenomenal and beautifully illustrated, 10/10

Nice explosive artwork that works really well in the fight scenes but I can't help but find the writing on this title a bit dull

I can't be the only one who thinks the wonder woman titles have generally been incredibly boring, this event doesn't change anything, this title still has its pacing issues

Love the direction this is going, this may be the most well written venom story ever

Better pacing here and a MUCH better script than the previous issues, props to Jed MacKay for this one

It was fun but it felt like a major step down from the ongoing suicide squad run, its a shame as i was very excited for this event. Also the crime syndicate felt very out of character when compared to how they written in their recent series (especially power ring)

Ending felt a bit rushed, but this was an interesting and enjoyable story nonetheless

Poor pacing, poor script and a poor plot

Extremely silly, but I feel like this series is aware of what it is. I'm actually really enjoying this title and can't wait to see where it goes.

Amazing stuff, this tied up a lot of the plot holes really well while managing to expand the venom mythology. Can't wait to see where this series goes.

Cant get enough of this phenomenal series! Great plot twist!

Great start to a new arc, this issue may have set a new standard for this series

Silly twists but I am really enjoying this run so far and it may be the best ive read from Williamson

Detective Comics - 8.5/10, it all comes together here, probably my favourite issue of this arc so far House of Wayne - 9/10, this one suddenly got better too, loved the plot here

Really enjoyed the first half even if the retcon was a bit unnecessary However, the second half just got too boring and silly for me

Ennis had some amazing commentary in this one, great writing, nice art and a very interesting take on the character PICK OF THE WEEK!

Giving me gladiator vibes and I love it! Federici's art was a nice gift and johnson did such an amazing job expanding the mythology in this issue Cannot recommend this book enough

What a beautiful and well written issue. Never knew much about John Paul Leon, but this taught me what an inspiring, talented individual he was. RIP

I'm pissed this is getting cancelled Even if it felt a bit rushed, this finale had lots of emotion and a nice plot twist

Justice League - 2/10, I just want to know wtf Bendis was smoking when he wrote this shit JLD - 9/10, Great as always

I thought this was very enjoyable, way better than aaron's avengers run

This has always been one of those ongoing titles I dread reading, but this issue was surprisingly fun. While the dialogue wasn't that funny, it had its enjoyable moments, the references to female heroes was quite cool as well I guess.

Far form perfect, a lot of it felt a bit aged to me. But this was an emotional story nonetheless, with an interesting characterisation of ben reilly. Great to see J.M. DeMatteis make a return as well.

Smiled the whole way through this one marvel stans are gonna be quite mad at this but this was excellent

Fuck, this creeped me out Some of it felt a bit overly edgy for the sake of being edgy but I cannot deny this was fucking great

Theres one or two okay concepts to be found in this issue but the execution and script were pretty bad

Bit disjointed and silly at points but I liked this one ... a lot

It had heart to it but it felt like a bit of a misstep to me. I thought this one was a bit too cheesy and rushed.

Kinda did Bane dirty, but this was the best issue of this series so far, it really comes together here

Incredibly ridiculous, but fun and crafty nonetheless I wouldn't really call this a deathstroke series nor would I say it does the phenomenal priest run much service, however it utilises the medium of a comic book almost perfectly and kept me on edge

Justice League - 1/10, gotta be one of the WORST things i've read, sometimes I wonder how stories like this get published let alone paid for Justice League Dark - 8.5/10, its a shame this amazing stories coming to an end, I really hope Bendis isn't writing this title in future

This is how you utilise the comic medium Pick of the week by far!

I thought this issue was pretty engaging but I do think tom king got a little lost in his writing techniques here and I felt a lot of this didn't actually make much sense But overall i thought it was pretty interesting and the art was amazing

I LOVED the earth-13 section, especially that beautiful art. Could have been better with a writer who would have executed it better and written better dialogue (e.g. Grant Morrison or Dan Watters) but I really liked that section of the issue nonetheless however, there is a very strange character reveal that was supposed to be satire but I just found it be extremely unfunny and lame but overall this was a massive improvement to the first issue imo

You never know what your gonna get with Jason Aaron, this was an interesting start to a story with a fun premise and cool character concepts

Just when I thought this run couldn't get dumber... I had high hopes for this storyline as well

Wasn't quite as dogshit as the last issue but this ending was way too messy and its a shame Williams can't seem to write an engaging story

This was just incredibly ridiculous I mean i'd be okay with it if it was all some sort of dream sequence, but a random demon eating people who happens to work in the hospital Peters in?

I thought this was one of the worst issues of this series, but its still my fav ongoing comic run and it had a very interesting plot

I'm starting to really fall in love with this series, this issue in particular boosts the plot well

Tim Drake - 6.5/10, this issue was quite bland but it had some heart Tweedle Dee & Dum - 5.5/10, boring Azrael - 9/10, amazing Nightwing - 3/10, Tini Howard can't write, I couldn't even get through this one Its a shame, this series seemed so promising when it started, but each issue has just sunk lower and lower

Wonder Woman - 6/10, ehh this issue felt a bit average to me, nothing special about the plot and the dialogues a bit dull Road to the trial of the amazons - 7/10, the script fell a bit flat for me but the plot and cliffhanger were interesting

Okay, I wasn't always the biggest fan of Hickman's X-men as i thought the storytelling and exposition were way too messy and I thought the first two issues of this were quite flawed as well But fuck, I'd be lying if I said I didn't love this issue. It all really comes together here Perfect storytelling, perfect use of characters, perfect development, perfect art, I just hope the other issues have me as on edge as this one did

Comics like this will always earn ridiculously high praise from me, this one utilises the reader perfectly

This writings really going downhill and its a shame as this is one of the few ongoing Marvel series I'm enjoying The characterisations were poor and this issue felt very dragged out and boring to me, at least Javier Pina on the arts a plus

This was a solid issue, I'm still not a big fan of the main plot to this run but this issue was a significant improvement to the others

This was a fun, interesting issue, can't wait to see where this Bendix plot goes

This is probably the weakest issue ive ever read by Tom Taylor

PICK OF THE FUCKING WEEK Hands down one of the most epic comics ive ever read Overpowered villains like Mongul can be so amazing when written well Let not talk about the unreadable backup story, this still gets a 10 from me
