Dark Knight News - Fay Clark

Please, start reading this series. We're only 11 issues in so there isn't that much to catch up on and I know you won't regret it. Every month it just seems to be getting better and better. Culver's really pushing the characters beyond their known boundaries and I can't wait to see where they end up! Read Full Review

It's maybe a little too frantic at times, but it works as a fun, no-holds-barred look into Gotham's future. Read Full Review

While I get that the issue and indeed the whole title is supposed to have a manga-like feel, it never really hits that mark, both in terms of visual and story. Read Full Review

The Batman Universe - Ian Miller

While Culver is clearly having a lot of fun, and new artist Geoffo does a solid job of picking up the title's style and world, the emphasis on unmotivated action over a use of the rich depth of characters available in this setting continues to disappoint. Read Full Review

Consistently fun read with dynamic art and fast punchy story beats. Might be better if it came out every six months in a fat manga format, but fun book, hope it goes for a long time.

The main story here is just pretty stupid and feels like its written by a fan, seems a bit ... cheap to me, 5.5/10 However, the backup story was nothing but phenomenal and beautifully illustrated, 10/10

DC still does not understand the concept of the manga. In this issues the art has a lot of quality, the story was not that attractive but it had many moments of involuntary humor like the one where a drugged Dick fills his world with colors and a transforming Jason I don't know, I just hope that the DC shutdown rumors may not be true, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Not so bad the two stories, I also liked the second one and the art was better.

I genuinely don't know why I'm still reading this series. It should be a fun little out of continuity story, but instead it's so wrapped up in so many weird, off putting ideas. It really might be DC's version of 2099, only there's no Spider-Man 2099 to hold it all together. This comic is like a mashup of all the lesser 2099 titles that no one likes or cares about.
