This is the Perfect Start to an all-new sonic the hedgehog comic Book. While I do miss the complex lore and world-building of the Archie series (Which if this issue is anything to go by will come very slowly) and I'm not 100% sure if making sonic a mostly solo hero is the choice for a non-interactive story for this franchise, the characterization and action sequences more than make up for it. However, I do hope that the episodic story issue disappears after the first 4 Issues.

A Perfect single story Issue. The Art by Adam Bryce Thomas is beautiful and filled with detail, the humor and action are perfectly both balanced and creative, and the chemistry between Sonic and Amy is so cute and entertaining. Definitely a Highlight of what Ian Flynn can do with these characters in this comic moving forward. P.S. Amy has reached a perfect fusion between her cannon and Boom version. I am 100% on board with that.

It's does continue the great chemistry from the previous 2 comics, but the art by Jen Hernandez is a major downgrade coming off of Adam Bryce Thomas and Tracy Yardley. This also has a bit too much exposition and relies on knowledge of the games to get the relationship between The Wisps and Sonic, something that the other issues, including this one, didn't feel the need to do at all. That said, I'm still looking forward to the next comic and I would recommend this to young sonic fans.

The art is back up to the high standards of the first two issues and the action scenes were enjoyable. Also really loved how they Incorporated fan favorite character Blaze into the series. My only issues were that Ian could have gave Tangle a better Personality (Although her design is Perfect) and the big reveal was, well, pointless considering we known that the next arc was going to be the return of Dr. Eggman. But with all said, this is another entertaining Issue and a great Introduction to two new characters.

I enjoyed seeing the Chaotix crew interact with sonic and I love the cliffhanger but did anyone reading this actually buy the Dr. Eggman amnesiac schtick? Because if you did then you probably didn't pay attention to the last issue, or the prologue, or the fact that this exact plot has been done in multiple children-aimed stories over & over again. It's also a shame that Jamal Peppers art is still being mostly wasted with lazy script's. Still, I enjoyed it and I'm really looking forward to the next one.

Definitely enjoyed the character interactions and had the best cliffhanger of the series. Still, knowing what's coming up in future issues and seeing the characters that are returning next issue, I'm more relieved that we're moving on to the meaty stuff that I came for then thinking about what's going on in these past 2 issues. Overall, perfectly fine mini-arc, but nothing memorable in the long run.

Love this issue. Adam Bryce Thomas is just perfect in bringing the visuals of Sonic to the comic medium, the action was top-notch and on par with most mainstream comics and the twist, while obvious, makes perfect sense and sets up the next 5 or so comics very well. This is starting to shape up to be one of my favorite comics not from DC or Image, and I'm looking forward not just for the next issue, but the next one from this duo. No offense to the other artists working on this comic, but everytime Ian gets Adam to illustrate his scripts, he brings his material to the best level possible.

This comic was a piece of shit. I love Mark Millar's output nowadays and I'm proud of his deal with netflix, but during the 2000's he became the definition of "Ow the edge" in comics and this was his peak. 100% stupid, cringy and boring. No surprise he decided to distance himself from these type of comics after much more focused and uplifting work like Superior and Huck.
