But Why Tho? - Max Funkey

Despite the fact that issue #1 went through three printings, I still don't feel like enough people have read this series. It should be on everyone's list Read Full Review

Black Nerd Problems - Mikkel Snyder

The issue feels long overdue with how much it manages to pack in, but there is a balance to the dense exposition and plenty of times where Ewing knows to let Di Meo's artwork speak for itself to great effect. It's structured in such a way that encourages you to take in the majesty and awe of the story slowly, and it pays off. But ultimately, We Only Find Them When They're Dead #2 continues to blaze a strong trail in the latest of epic space operas. Read Full Review

On Comics Ground - Avalon Willowbloom

Since a fair bit of this was devoted to backstory and flashbacks, we didn't get to move forward on the main plot much, but I don't begrudge the book for it because the characters are engaging enough to make the flashbacks compelling on their own. Retro sci-fi visual elements are as welcome as ever, as well, with the warp tunnel reminding me of the slit scan VFX from the movie "2001: A Space Odyssey." This series continues to be worth every minute I've spent on it and is a trip I eagerly look forward to. Read Full Review

Simone Di Meo delivers some beautiful art in this issue. There is a wonderfully detailed quality to the panels and Di Meo moves the story along brilliantly with awesome visuals both in the present story and the flashbacks. Read Full Review

Word Of The Nerd - Brent Jackson

I liked We Only Find Them When They're Dead #2, but it wasn't as good as the first issue. The story didn't seem to flow together as well and the art was a bit muddled at times. Overall it wasn't bad, and I am still incredibly interested in this series and story. It just was a bit of a step down from the bombastic first issue. I am still excited to see where this team is taking this series and hope they pick it back up in issue #3. Read Full Review
