    AIPT - Ryan Pagella

The writing of Bejamin Percy on X-Force is truly a work of art. It is poetic. To dive so deeply into a character's inner psyche, exploring facets such as trauma and anxiety, is not easy to write. I commend Percy for his ability to sew these so beautifully together through Domino. I cannot recommend this run of X-Force enough. Read Full Review

Bazaldua delivers some beautiful visuals throughout this issue. The characters look amazing and the beautiful backgrounds make the panels come to life. The train sequence is fantastic from start to finish and infuses the story with an extra burst of energy towards the end. Read Full Review

Ultimately, Ben Percy continues to make X-FORCE fast-paced, action-packed but more importantly doing it all in a way that makes this series feel vital and essential to the overall story unfolding in all X-titles. Read Full Review

Artists change around here frequently, but Bazaldua and Guru do a solid job holding it down while Cassara knocks out his next issues. It's not my favorite system in the world for managing release schedules, but when it works, it works. I do look forward to moving the focus around to other members of the team, but these past couple issues focusing on Domino have been a nice change of pace. Join me again next month as Domino returns and a new mission begins! Read Full Review

X-Force is a book that takes a look at the horrors that the guys who fight in the shadows have to face and doesn't look away and it's a stronger book because of that. Read Full Review

It's curious to guess at where X-Force goes from here. The main villainous organization has been going on for eight issues now and feels a little undercooked, so much that their developments in this issue don't play quite as well as they should. But that's an absolute nitpick when the character work is so good. All in all, this is another fine issue that keeps X-Force near the top of the Dawn of X line where it belongs. Read Full Review

Overall this was a fun issue, not the best in the series but sill a really solid one. This series has been one of the finest in the ‘Dawn of X’ line-up. With the reveal at the end of this issue, one can expect things to get a lot more intense pretty soon. Read Full Review

Prelude: Last issue was some fun with Domino's powers so let's see how that fares here. The Good: I like how Domino and Colossus talk about the resurrection protocols here. Domino's missing luck is really interesting. Interesting move with XENO. The Bad: Nothing. Conclusion: It's a very good issue but it lacks that flair to make it stand apart.

This wasn't as good as a lot of the other issues so far, but I still enjoyed it a good amount. I'm really enjoying how Percy writes Domino, aside from the "Dominos!" line and such. I must say that I enjoyed the "We match." line. I think Percy also continues to do a nice job of building the relationship between Domino and Colossus, especially with the last few pages right before the XENO tease. I have to say, though, that I'm not a big fan of Bazaldua's art. It's fine is most places, but not so much in others.

Despite the oddly abrupt resolution to Domino's hunt for her doppelganger within the first few pages, X-Force #8 continues X-Force's solid spy feel in an entertaining mission featuring Domino and Colossus.

It's a solid story, and Bazaldua and Guru-eFX are trying really hard. But Mr. Percy is adamant about scripting for Joshua Cassara, and there just aren't a lot of artists that can properly fill those shoes. This arc raises some fascinating questions about the Krakoan resurrection process as Domino and Colossus grapple with their trauma.

Percy is keeping the pace fast but maybe a tad bit too fast for me and the ending didn't work well. Either way it was enjoyable but the team up was OK with some good moments. Cassara's art makes the book much better for me. Nothing against Bazaldua, it's just not a good fit.

Percy is still doing a very decent job. But I think it would be harder to fight against an army of Dominos.

Wasn't a Fan of the Domino arc as much as the other characters but this finale was quite thought provoking. I do wonder if Domino would have died so easily if these infinite revives weren't on hand but then I guess we wouldn't have these new stories and ideas. Still there has to be a way to make things seem a little more meaningful when it comes to death in the X men universe. Art was not my fave. Characters looked too basic and I hated that train scene, it was a good idea but executed in a way that was confusing and looked dumb.

X-Force 8 is the worst issue of the series yet. Domino is such a boring character to me, even more so because there's such a fun take on the character in Deadpool 2. I hate how depressed Colossus is written, and I can't even fathom why people like this Colossus and Domino flirting thing. Percy writes both main characters super depressed, and even the art is lacking this issue. I hope next issue's reveal of XENO's mastermind can bring this series back to it's former glory.

THE GOOD: -I still love Domino and how she's written here. -The story continues to be super compelling, despite this issue having a few hiccups. -Colossus is a great character. -The four leaf clover bit was cool. -The social venue section was hilarious, despite it being sort of unnecessary. -The art's not great, but the action is slick. -Orchis continues to be very compelling and interesting for an evil organization. -That ending was really good. THE BAD: -I'll have to agree with the majority in that this issue was not nearly as good as any of the others. -The opening felt rushed and... easy, I guess. -The art wasn't great, either. I miss Joshua Cassara. -Colossus' dominoes analogy was very cr more
