Spider-Man Prime's Profile

I've been away from comics for awhile but I am slowly getting back into comics. I've heard nothing but good things about this comic so I had to see what it was all about. I was not disappointed. The first page already had me smiling and laughing. Even though the tone is dark like a Batman book, the Looney Tunes characters and dialogue were written so well. The main story was very well written and self contained. I really wish this was an on-going series. This book ended with a goofy cartoony short that was funny.

Batman the Red Death is bad ass looking. His armor and the mix of the red and black mix really well. Cant forget to mention the bats from the speed force. I'm interested in the fact that Barry is still conscious within Bruce after being merged together through the speed force.

I like this condensed retelling of the mutants' side of the Marvel Universe. Good price for the size of this issue. I liked the art except for young Charles Xavier lol. I thought it was interesting that the pages were colored yellow a little to show the age of these stories with subtle bright white flashes to show how bright these actions are. Looking forward to the next issue.

All around this is a good book. Everyone loves Cable so why not start things off with a story about trying to kill him. Both funny and looks great. Ends with the newest telling of Deadpool's backstory.

Great issue. Deadpool had the upper hand in the last issue but after Cable's one phone call from jail, Cable goes on the offensive and kicks some ass. Lots of blood and even more laughs.

Solid start to ASM's newest chapter. Peter and Bobbi are great together. Ends with a much needed mark in the Win column for Spidey's confidence.

Opens up with apologies from former CEO Peter Park, and quickly turns to him hitting the streets in costume. So happy to see Spidey stayed with the classic costume. I love the street level Spider-Man. Not this humble CEO type. Never seemed to click for the character Peter. Man is the Human Torch a hot head haha. The only reason I rated this an 8 instead of a 7.5 is the nod to the FF on the last page. I really hope the FF make a come back. And it's done right. 'Nuff said.

More like the "Rise After the Fall of Parker." Peter has the girl, lands the job, saves a coworker, frees a slave, and makes the Bugle's deadline with no problem. Another step in the right direction for Peter. Hopefully nothing brings him down... Venom Inc.... *cough cough*...

Good issue on all points. For being a Thing spoken issue it flowed pretty well. It read really well and set up the story to come, along with filling us in about what has happened to everyone. The art is good. Cover is kinda boring. Looking forward to seeing more DOOM.

The lenticular cover is really cool. Such a thick book and well worth the cover price. Very wordy and plenty of panels to accompany it. This is not a bad thing. Gary Frank is able to illustrate the world and allows Geoff Johns' detailed story to be told. Mostly a Rorschach story ending with the DC portion of this crossover. Very excite to see how deep this story gets.

Great cover. This one seems to have started a little different from the others. A little more story from Earth 0 first rather than the other world story. And that's not a complaint. I really like the plot and mash up of Bruce and the helmet. The pencils were great, but the colors seemed to lack something. Seemed dull or light. Not too bad where it took away from the whole feel.

Good issue. I enjoyed the lead up to entering the prison. But disappointed I didn't get a chance to see the Batman fight 100+ foes. Not one panel. Gonna keep me coming back for more tho.

I love a good comic with well drawn rain scenes. Good pacing thru out the entire issue. *I told myself I wasn't gonna do this... **starts tearing up*** And a damn good love story.

King has been doing a great job with Batman. This is overall a light hearted story staring Bats and Supes along with their ladies. I like the mirroring stories and how the panel layout is constructed to show this.

Bruce is so funny without even trying. And Clark is so country it's a bit painful. Two stories being told at the same time without being confusing while mirroring the other is still being written really good. The ol' switcheroo. Stuffed animals. Drinking from a flask. Knocking out a mugger. And a one on one baseball challenge.

Don't get me wrong I like this issue, but...the art seems a bit off this series. The turtles' fingers in a few panels last issue looked kinda weird. And the colors are very saturated and just throws me off on how dark dirty and gritty these characters can be. I wish there would have been a bit of a scuffle between the 3 strong big bads. But on the flip side I am still really enjoying this second installment of these 2 universes mixing.

Good issue but I'm unsure if it was worth $5. Spider-Man was kinda boring. Flash seemed a bit naïve/headstrong. Brock seemed his "normal self." Nothing special but it's gonna have me coming back for more to see what happens.

Lets start with the cover and size of this issue. I enjoyed the cover but the book itself is a little stiff cuz of the binding. Sometimes it feels like you're gonna break the binding just trying to open the book a bit further. I had no problem paying $6 for this cuz it's a pretty big issue. I'm not the biggest fan of this art style but I think I goes with the setting and narrative of this story. I like the connections between Wainwright's and Wayne's lives but the story overall is a bit bland. I'm curious to see how things connect later.

i started off interested but eventually I wasn't into the book near the end. I liked the classic look of the book from the art but its just not my favorite. ill give it a shot but it definitely needs to pick up the pace with the next issues.

I'm only reading this Venom issue for the crossover. Only 10 of the 20 pages contain Eddie and/or the Venom symbiote. Doesn't seem much of a "Venom" issue within its own title. Plenty of action but with the stories split between the two plots it seems to be a bit stagnant. No complaints on the art. But I really hope this arch has weight to it when its all said and done.

I enjoyed most of the plots. some didn't keep my interest. but I can see myself reading some of these.

Overall this was a good issue, but something seemed to be missing. Might be the pacing during the beginning or maybe an extra panel or two could have helped. I liked the art along with the fight scene. The parallel made during the fight was really cool. And the cliffhanger is gonna make me come back for the next issue.

This issue had some ... issues. First of all the dialog is dreadful. The only splash page is literally the first pages ruined by 13 bubbles crammed together. It was cool to see the villain costumes but covered by these bubbles made it look terrible. Accompanied by Goldballs jealousy this was just painful to read. There was almost no action. Only 2 panels contained any sort of action. Nothing else. So, on to the good things. The cover really brought me to this issue. The color art seems to change a few times through out the issue. Starts off warm with reds and yellows. Good start to the first villains' introductions. Then relaxes a bit with white backgrounds for the school and outside scenes. Then finishes with the dark look with blacks and greens when you meet up with the Sinister Six and see who the black Iron Spider is. I know it's the first issue of this arc but I really hope this gets better. The art continues to be good but we need better plots and story telling.

This number 1 didn't do much for me. Started with a typical Deadpool scene. Followed by an out of no where run in with Logan. After a few pages of back and forths , both physically and verbally, Deadpool and Logan stumble upon this Omega-level mutant, who is left in the destruction she mysteriously caused while civilians run away. So of course she runs away. And Logan sends Deadpool after her??? Why did he change his mind? And at the end Logan gets captured by a group trying to make contact with this new Omega-level mutant. Overall this was a quick read with good art and filled with mediocre jokes. I hope the upcoming issues can pull it together and tell us a good story while having a few laughs.

This series went quickly from Vs to Team-up. Not the worst thing but still. Good art and good coloring. There were a few nice action shots. Seems to be one of the few reoccurring story themes that Marvel can't get away from. But for some reason I'm still interested. I'll keep pulling this... for now.

Still reads as a team up rather than a Vs. Art got downgraded a tad. Less humor than expected, I guess. Unlikely lock-up arrangements. Interesting cliff hanger. Nothing really wanting me to stay, but I will ride it out till the end.
