Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur is a really fun and light-hearted read. There is so much potential for character growth in this series I look forward to following her for years to come. I loved the idea of injecting the Fantastic Four into this book at the start. By the end though I am glad to see them go their own separate ways. I am just so happy to have Devil Dinosaur back. Beautiful colors and witty charismatic writing really sets this book out as a great comic for all ages.  Read Full Review

Although I wish there were a little more complexity being laid out for these stories, this issue was another fun exercise in all ages afrofuturism. I really hope we see Lunella team up with the full Fantastic Four once Marvel gets the band back together. Read Full Review

It'll be interesting to see what comes next for Lunella, but if this was what they've been setting up for, this whole arc ends up being a massive disappointment that ultimately didn't even tell much of a story at all. Read Full Review

Lunella and her ersatz Fantastic Four save the universe, of course. The resolution of the conflict is thoroughly middle-of-the-road. It's average for any comic and notably sub-par for this title - both visual and textual storytelling are weak. But the final scenes go for all-out heartwarming as Lunella applies learned lessons to her relationships. She advises Ben & Johnny to go find their family and gives an epically great apology to Devil Dinosaur. These moments are precisely what's needed to redeem the "meh" heroics earlier in the book.
