Keeping the creative teams on rotation keeps it from getting stale. Marvel is getting pretty good at playing a revolving team to their favor. Thompson and Bachalo work great together, a fine example showing that creators are adjusting to the rapid pace of output as well. Read Full Review

It was a fairly fast-paced story this issue, that felt a little too quick. There didn't feel like much development between Spider-Man and Deadpool, the attention seemed to be taken away from them with the appearance of Husk. Which was be a welcome highlight and I am giving extra points for including her. Bachalo's quality art will always keep you interested though. Read Full Review

Those are at least diverting moments, but it isn't enough to bring the issue together as a whole. Somewhere between the first part of this story and this chapter, it loses a bit of its charm. Read Full Review

Robbie Thompson uses Bachalo's psychedelic art style visuals to his advantage here with a rather unusual tale. Since Bachalo's art is perfect in that setting it makes the narrative better than I think it would with a more traditional art. The goal is obscure and outrageous, which it goes for fully. I was a bit undecided when reading it if that was a good thing. I have to say I had to go back and read it again to make my decision. Now that Deadpool is a "villain" again it would be hard to keep going with a team-up of this nature. By making a situation that benefits the two in different ways to solve, Thompson has found his in. Adding a more surreal element gives the strange situation a fish out of water scenario for Peter that gives us humor . It is a nice effort that I think works fairly well. The colors of this book really stood out. This is not the set team that will be working on the book going forward, but for now I think it is a great fit. After a re-read I was still on board. It is hard to say if this will continue to work going forward, but for now it is a fun ride. more

Wacky ole Deadpool drags Spidey, by the nose, into a pit of Bachalo monsters AKA Tabula Rasa. Webs has to contend with Husk in the fight for the guest-star slot, and this remains primarily the "LOL memes" Deadpool show. Which is fine except for the fact that Gerry Duggan is doing a pretty excellent job of handling both "comedy mask" Deadpool and "tragedy mask" Wade over in his solo book. The script here is good but not "get passionate" good, and the art is pretty in the slow panels but confusing in action.
