exactly!!! what was the point of all these build up issues if Superman, Wonder Woman, Nightwing ... even Batman's own Son aren't going to the wedding. this whole thing was just so poorly handled. Tom King has this misconception that Batman is still trapped in his Melancholy 'Year One' mentality. so why reference New52 Zero Year if he's just going to constantly take from 'Year One'? it's a mess.

Great read!!!
Red Hood and the Outlaws #25
Batman versus Red Hood for the right to fight in Gotham-grab your ringside seat for the battle 25 years in the making! Jason Todd broke a promise to his mentor, and must now confront an angry and betrayed Batman. That means a good time for readers, but probably not so much for Jason: it's likely going to take more than the Outlaws' help in order fo...
For the first time in a long time, I had a bit of fun reading a TT comic. Forgot what that felt like.
Teen Titans #20
Batman has no idea what he's doing. Superman? Not a clue. Wonder Woman? Whatever. Damian Wayne is Robin, and he's done with the bleeding-heart approach favored by the heroes of the senior circuit. New plan of action: recruit a new Teen Titans. Kid Flash, Red Arrow and newbies Roundhouse, D'jinn and...wait, Lobo has a daughter? That'll end well. And...
Calling it now:
Talia somehow mixed both Bruce and Slade's DNA together, therefore Deathstroke and Batman would technically be biologically his fathers. This would preserve Damian and Bruce's relationship while creating a new one with Deathstroke. It would also explain why both Batman and Deathstroke tested positive in Damian's DNA test, even though Bruce thinks his was faked. I think that th

Deathstroke #33
Forced to team with Deathstroke, a man he loathes, Damian Wayne must discover the truth of his lineage. Is he really Bruce Wayne's son, or is Slade Wilson his true father? As Batman draws closer to finding them both, Deathstroke must complete a hit, while Robin shadows the killer for hire.
Absolute trash. We have all these preludes and specials for something that doesn't happen. This was a marketing stunt, plain and simple. Tom King says his arc is 100 issues. So what? That gives you a free pass not to be criticized? I was never a fan of King's run, but was actually thinking this could be somewhat good, to see Batman in a different light than ever before. But no. Bruce is too damage more

It's the wedding you never thought you'd see! The Batrimony is real as Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle are set to tie the knot in a can't-miss, extra-length milestone issue that will reshape Gotham City. All their friends (and a few enemies?) will be party to a comic book coupling for the ages. Superstar scribe Tom King officiates the sure-to-be-offbea...
This not only betrays our trust, but the LCSs will suffer, and not just with this issue!
the way this was marketed to the LCSs was outright fraud. i wonder if any of the stores that invested in exclusive covers are going to close because of this?
i should have known to stay away the first time i left this series. but i allowed myself to be lured back with false hope. what's worse is so many stories leading up to this issue have been nothing more than useless filler!!
there is a poor excuse of a twist at the end that's supposed to set up what's to come.
but WHO CARES???
they think after this gargantuan betrayal, we're j

Hey now, I really liked BvS. Don't try to tarnish that by associating it with Tom King. Lol
Talon1load - you're right! to be fair, i really enjoyed BvS when i saw it in the theater. i even bought the blu ray as well. but it definitely is a guilty pleasure. i can admittedly see it for all it's flaws. but as you said, it DOES NOT deserve to be lumped in with the filthy mess that is Tom King's Batman. lol
What a poorly thought out waste of time.

Wait... Catwoman can say words other than "Bat"? Woah.
Catwoman #1
The wedding night's barely over, but Catwoman's back on the streets, this time to expose a copycat who's pulling heists around Gotham City. As Selina cracks the whip on her former criminal cohorts, she's attracting unwanted attention from one of Gotham's most dangerous groups. The mob? Nope. Try the GCPD. And as if the Bat-Bride didn't have enough ...
To disappointed fans:
Just look at the issue this way--
Do you really want Batman and Catwoman's wedding to be presided over by a slobby judge too drunk to know what he's doing?

A lot of tie ins and nothing happened. A ultra boring comic.

Lol, this was so bullshit. What a disappointment. DC built this up to be such a huge event only for them to backtrack because Batman NEEDS to be F%@CKING SAD!!!!
Hell yeah, sure!!! Not like 80 years of history and more than 20 issues of this run didn't hype this up to be the holy grail of events.
What a letdown, I hope the Batfamily hunts down Cat because of her poorly though

Boy, am I tired of reading "epic" comic-book stories that crumble from lack of internal logic. SPOILER ALERTS:
So now we're supposed to believe that Bane somehow masterminded this entire event since...when? Causing Batman to propose? Having Selina accept, knowing she and Joker would have a near-death colloquy in which he'd plant the idea in her head that Batman can't be happy, that would mak

Holly was really the one that got the cat to run. But yeah that was the only thing Bane really wanted. Was to break up the two, joker played a part as well, probably drugged em hah idk. So much pessimism, hes pumping two of these out a month while writing other comics, not an easy job.
in this world there are those who enjoy the taste of kool aid ...and those who do not.
ALL THAT BUILD UP FOR THIS?!?!?!?!?! The only reason I'm not dropping this is because I'm too much of a curios/nosey person and I want to see where the last part goes.

Talon1load - exactly! taking the blame off King and placing it on Bane is delusional. Bane is a fictional character. he only does what Tom King scripts him to do.
Screw this séries, screw Tom Kings to ruin Batman. You build up this wedding for months & that's the pay off that we gets to wait that BS that make Selina & Bruce even worst then before, if that make you exicted 4 new Catwoman séries i sorry but you failed to do that

I liked this issue a lot and like Tom King, but man that is such an accurate way to put it. Lol
Ok. So, this is slightly better than the previous issue. I still don't care for it. What is King trying to do? Reminisce about the "good old days" of Batman villains? Won't Batman be a little pissed that Catwoman went for the kill? Is she "jokerized" or something? When did Joker poison Batman? Quit making Batman so inept. Quit trying to be clever and meta and write a comic Batman fans want to re more

"THE BEST MAN" part two! Now it's up to Catwoman to rescue her one true love. It's the Cat vs. the Clown in one exciting showdown that sets the stage for our giant anniversary issue-and the biggest union in comics!
Bored...I'm bored. This conversation has gotten fairly pointless. I don't think anyone is going to change anyone else's mind. Aether is obviously a troll that has drank the Tom King cool-aid. Some people like King's Batman and others do not. I do not. I will continue to think that way and rate his comics that way. At least until he changes my mind.
Tom-king cool aid? I didn't even like Omega Men. His only other comic I've read. So far he's 1 for 2 in my mind. also yeah, I'm done with this thread, we got way off topic. We should just stick to talking about issue 49.
that was just AWFUL!
Tom King not only does not understand these characters,
but he wastes an entire issue showing that he has no idea what to do with them either.
just pointless filler before the wedding issue.
i'm not a fan of this traced art.
looks like screenshots from the Telltales Batman game.

Bizarro is teetering on the brink between brilliance and - well, Bizarro! Artemis is coming to grips with her past as a secret envoy to Lex Luthor. But it's Red Hood who's in for the shock of his life when he finds the cache of letters Ma Gunn kept from him when he was a ward under her care. Letters from his father. Jason Todd has hated his deadbea...
