I had to check to see if I missed an issue when I was 1/3 into this issue. I was not but then it dawned on me that none of Marvel's newest world conquerors were that memorable to me. I enjoyed the first 2 issues, the third left me with a "wait and see" feeling, I'm still waiting. Black Panther and the Falcon sent to space to take out a ship while Captain Marvel remained on Earth? More respect is due for Captain Marvel and her ability to lead the team but the wrier does not seem to have a handle on it. Art is fantastic. Will hang in a bit more for the ride.

The plague of the crossover is upon us. Listing Wolverine #36 in the reading order of the Fall of X is a misrepresentation of what the issue is about. The storyline is hot garbage. I want my money back.

Having to read this to complete the Sins of Sinister is a damn shame. The weakest book of this event. Spurrier's writing of Nightcrawler has not advanced Nightcrawler as a character as much as damaged him and now he has the opportunity to shit on multiple Nightcrawlers at once and he is taking advantage of that. Thankfully it's only 3 issues.

Disjointed. Not the character I know. 3 issues of nothing. Monica Rambeau deserves better.

First Marauders now New Mutants. They are dropping like flies. *sighs*

Wake me when the New Mutants show up.

I feel like I am reading a young adult comic.

I will give this title one more issue and that issue needs to have some payoffs.

This is where I jump ship. Just horrible.

I have been dedicated to the Avengers for the past 50 years and Jason Aaron has pushed me to a place I thought I would ever reach. I will pause reading this book until another creative team comes on board. How in the hell is Marvel letting this travesty continue?

Whether it be the art or the writing there is very little I find recognizable about the characters. The frenetic layouts of the pages are confusing and continuously pulls the story away from the reader. If there is anything of interest happening the creative team are doing their best to hide it since nothing of interest comes through.

4 issues of nothing. I am out.

I never thought I would be saying these words, I might stop reading The Avengers. Such a mess. I have yet to have an investment with any of the characters that is Aaron is writing in this series. It's as if they are strangers in familiar uniforms. Is there even a payoff for this series that will be worth all the time and money I have invested? I doubt it. The entire series is beyond redemption.

The more I see the art the less of a connection I have to this book. While Orlando has pulled some amazing rabbits out of hats in regards to X-Men lore I cannot take the storyline seriously though this lens of a second rate Saturday morning cartoon. I wanted to love Marauders but I have been dragging myself through these 3 issues looking at barely recognizable faces of characters that I have loved for decades.

So many moving parts that we know Spurrier will put together. The investment in his writings are always long term. Not perfect, (hence the 9, Storm was just odd) but a good start to the journey.

I wanted to love this but the art pulls me right out of the story.

I would have scored this higher if the art was more cohesive with the characters and story. I find the pseudo anime stylings distracting and a bad fit for this particular book.

I wanted this sooooo much and knew going in that there was great room for disappointment. That disappointment was not disappointed. When Bendis is on I enjoy his work, when he is off he is off.

Marvel's analogies of the Legion of Superheroes pitted against the analogues of the Fatal Five? Yes, please.

Meh

I was hoping for the rebirth of Dane Whitman. I wanted direction for this character, streamline him and give him purpose. It cost me $20 to see him become a bigger mess. Magic undone by an app? Really? Really? Don't get me started on the daughter that no one asked for.

I'm done, especially at this price point.

Why?

It would be best for Mr.Claremont to sit back and rest on his laurels.
