The best issue of MC yet. Bachalo's art is ten times better than the other artists', he draws great action sequences, and Brian Reber's colors are so much better than D'Armata's.

A lot of really cool ideas but truly awful writing. And I don't personally love the art.

Honestly I realize I'm probably going overboard with this rating, but the art by Werneck and Woodard is astonishingly good, and the story is so entertainingly bonkers, and Duggan writes the kind of clever dialogue that I eat right up.

Definitely the best of the series I've read. The second story is my favorite yet and my son wants me to read it over and over.

As with all of Jemisin's works, it takes a little while to get your bearings. Unfortunately Campbell's art did not help in this regard. It's pretty but busy.

I like the story reset, but I just don't like Tini Howard's writing. And Betsy is just angry the entire book. Like take the psi-knife out of your ass. The art is average. Also let's get a lock on Julio's skin color. It has run the gamut throughout his existence so can we all agree to leave him how he is currently in this book?

Love the bit with Daphne and Fred in the car.

The cast is really random, the plot introduces way too many threads all at once, and the art isn't always clear.

I am of the opinion that revealing the future effects of a story arc undermines the current story arc itself. Why read about it when you already know how it turns out? And even if this is just one possibility and things aren't destined to end up this way, why reveal it at all? We don't know or care about any of these new characters so it's not all that interesting or easy to get invested in. The art is good if nothing special. I just didn't get this issue, especially after the strong promise of House of X #1.
