Mar 26, 2025Whenever a guest artist comes on board, it's always a risk that the series will lose its momentum especially when the regular artist is as incredibly distinct as Hayden Sherman. But Kelly Thompson has worked with Mattia De Iulis before, and the two put together an incredibly surreal book with photo-realistic art. Read Full Review

Mar 26, 2025Absolute Wonder Woman continues to encapsulate the bold ideas the Absolute line promised from the outset, and yet this is also a series that feels quintessentially Wonder Woman through and through, and it isn't likely to abandon that high bar anytime soon. Read Full Review

Lyles Movie Files - Jeffrey Lyles
Mar 27, 2025This book is really special and DC needs to do everything possible to keep Thompson on board and avoid the temptation to rush into crossovers or big Absolute Universe events. Absolute Wonder Woman doesn't need any super friends. Not when she's got these super creators crafting her adventures. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff
Mar 28, 2025And the issue ends with a couple of one-page comics that Thompson wrote involving a young Diana that feel...they almost feel pulled out of a parallel dimension where lil Diana might have been on the comic strip page next to Dennis the Menace. Its sharply clever stuff that hits all of the right beats to be a single-joke strip in an era long after that sort of thing has become fashionable. Its a fun ending to a very fun issue. Mar 30, 2025Equally enjoyable is the short story Li'l Diana, where we see a young Diana learning the magic of transformation from her adoptive mother, Circe. Also written by Kelly Thompson, this story offers a refreshing bit of light relief after the edgier main plot. Read Full Review

Mar 30, 2025Absolute Wonder Woman #6 delves into the origins of Diana's lethal arsenal, revealing the secrets behind her Nemesis Lasso as she faces Hades after escaping the underworld. While the plot's pacing feels slightly uneven with a seemingly unnecessary Basilisk encounter, Kelly Thompson's character work on Diana and Mattia De Iulis' stunning artwork, particularly in portraying Diana's strength and Hades' unique personality, remain highlights. Weird Science - Gabe Hernandez
Mar 26, 2025Absolute Wonder Woman #6begins the long story of explaining how Diana obtained her special weapons and escaped Hell when Hades calls her to account. Kelly Thompson's script has the right concept and ideas, but the overwritten, ponderous dialog slows the issue to a crawl. Conversely, Mattia De Iulis's exquisite art makes this series look ten times better. Read Full Review
