    Comic Watch - Jimmy Hayes

While highly entertaining, the book executes the main purpose of every comic. It gets the reader to stick and stay. After only one issue, you're sure to add this one to your pull list. You won't have to give it the standard "three-issue test", the and story and art are gonna hook you in right away. Read Full Review

The issue is done perfectly from start to finish. There are two added stories taking place two weeks ago which are completely anti-climatic and unneeded but of course Marvel needs to increase the page count to justify the price. Overall this is looking to be a worthwhile ride, and the fact that we know it's only 19 issues long means we can hopefully enjoy it for the quality collaboration it is rather than worrying that every twist is a permanent one. AIPT - David Brooke

Amazing Spider-Man #75 is a hopeful, fun, and exciting new direction for the Spider-Man franchise. Considering the last two years Peter Parker has had, this issue does everything it needs to in order to move Ben into the role. Given the attention to details new and old along with the strong character work and dialogue, this is a genuine Spider-Man comic and a great way to turn the page on a new era. Read Full Review

    Comics Bookcase - Zack Quaintance

While Amazing Spider-Man #75 is the best individual issue of this title in years, one has to wonder if the continually bloated release schedule will make it a worthwhile investment. This is a good comic, but might be even better with a stripped down, less-is-more approach. Read Full Review

    Graphic Policy - Brett

This is a hell of a debut that feels like it's a natural direction building off of the last two major runs and setting Peter and Spider-Man up for a new direction. It's good, really good. And it has this on-the-fence Spider-Man reader coming back for more… and excited about it. Read Full Review

But Why Tho? - Collier "CJ" Jennings

Amazing Spider-Man #75launches the Beyond Saga, as Peter Parker deals with emotional stress and Ben Reilly gets a new lease on life. This is the perfect jumping-on point for Spidey fans old and new, and I would definitely recommend it to Reilly's fans as well. Hopefully, the upcoming weeks will keep up this momentum, as this saga is set to lead into Spidey's 60th anniversary. Read Full Review

Amazing Spider-Man #75 kicks off the Spider-Man Beyond direction off on a great note. Zeb Wells, Patrick Gleason, and the Beyond Board are able to create a fresh start for the franchise that utilizes Spider-Man's history in a welcoming way. Now with it looking as though Ben Reilly will be the lead Spider-Man for this series moving forward I'm interested to see what direction Amazing Spider-Man goes from here. Read Full Review

    The Comicbook Dispatch - ozwoods

    Oct 06, 2021

Amazing Spider-Man #75 feels like a fast comic that rushes to get the ball rolling on the new “Beyond” storyline. The main story is not great, it's not terrible, it's serviceable and does its job. However, it establishes the dynamic and parallels between Peter and Ben very well and distinguishes the two as separate heroes. The art team for the comic does a solid job here with Patrick Gleason on art and Marcio Menyz on colors. However, the Beyond storyline doesn't seem to be that enticing, hopefully the next issue sells it better. Read Full Review
