I do love big plot developments, but this issue offers only the ILLUSION of big developments.
What actually happens is, Orchis gets 2 new recruits (one shocking, one not), 2 councils meet with little immediate effect, and an in-law spat is folded into a bar fight to meet the issue's action quota.
The storytelling is good, particularly on the visual front, but I find it annoy

This was a fantastic start. MacKay nails the characters here, especially Carol, which is clearly a challenge for a lot of writers. After the mind-numbingly huge Avengers Assemble event, I'm glad this issue takes its time introducing all the characters and giving them their moments. It's so refreshing. On top of that, as someone who reads a lot of Marvel comics, it's nice to see the current status more

I only am really reading comics on the MCU app so rarely review anything as it's at least three months old by the time I read it. But this, this is a perfect comic- great restrained writing and nuanced art. I just loved it and feel I kind of have to write a review just because sometimes shouting into the void is worth it when you're shouting about something you love.

Nearly flawless ending to this sobering and quiet, almost intimate Iron Man story.

Rainbow Rowell bringing slice-of-life and romance into comics, something I havent seen in a Marvel or DC book since... well probably her excellent RUNAWAYS run and DAN SLOTT'S SHE-HULK. The artwork is great, the tone is soooooo relaxing and charming; this She-Hulk has a soft humanity to it that Rowell is so good at.
Love the radiation conversation. Love what's happening with Jack of Hearts.

Lol fuck Talia, she was the worst here and she somehow comes out of this event completely unscathed. Destroyed a whole city to appease her greed and insecurity but somehow Geoforce is wrong to avenge the million deaths at her hands.

This issue was a blast, one of the funnest comics i've this year. I wasn't excited for this run, since Jeremy Adams is a new name (i guess), specially after Williamson's run. But damn, I'm loving every single issue, and this one in particular was excellent in every way
