The hype behind Three Jokers is real. I know a lot of us have been waiting a long time for this miniseries to be released, but the wait was worth it. Excellent artwork presents a mystery that will leave you with lots of questions in the perfect opener for a story that may change what we know about the Joker. Read Full Review

I do have a worry regarding this series that has nothing to do with the sheer amount of Joker we have seen this year. After Doomsday Clock, my worry is that Three Jokers may promise too much and deliver too little. I sincerely hope that I am wrong as DC could do with a win. Fingers crossed. Read Full Review

I honestly don't think I could have asked for a better start to what's sure to be the biggest Joker story of the year " and perhaps, if it continues at this level of quality, a classic comic in its own right. This is a dark, enthralling mystery of a Batman story: with a cast of characters sharing an electric chemistry, a trio of charismatic and sinister villains, and an ending that's both shocking and cathartic, yet leaves you wanting so much more. I'm happy to say that this book receives the highest rating I've given a comic so far: you'll want to be paying close attention to this one. Read Full Review

What makes The Joker such a menacing villain is that he fights our heroes on a psychological level, and with this - Johns and Fabok don't disappoint. Three Jokers is more than a mystery about uncovering the secrets behind the three Jokers - 'The Criminal,' 'The Clown,' and 'The Comedian' - but a story to see just how far the Joker's actions can push our heroes' morality until they finally break. Flickering Myth - Ricky Church

Not many comic stories are as built up asThree Jokers, but after so many years and delays it is exciting and gratifying to see the first issue more than lives up to the hype. Johns' writing and insight into the characters is fantastic as he explores their various traumas and the depths of Joker's madness and cruelty. Fabok's art is excellent as it is clear just how hard he worked on every single panel – and there are a lot of them – while Anderson's colours elevate Fabok's lines. Any comic book fan will be pleased with how wellThree Jokers #1is and excited with what else Johns, Fabok and Anderson have in store for the rest of the series. Read Full Review

As I said earlier, the only real flaw to Three Jokers #1 is that it doesn't recount the build-up to this story that well and throws new readers into the deep end of the pool with little chance to acclimate themselves before things start to get strange. While this is a fairly big problem, fans of these creators and those who know what they need to know going in will find this to be a ripping yarn. This is The Joker story we've literally been waiting to see for years and it thankfully proved worth the wait. Read Full Review
