Goofy young adult, slice of life stuff. Not my thing. The cover says it all. Boring small talk. That doesn't mean it's bad if you are a fan of this sort of comic book, so I'll abstain from giving it a score. I do say again, this sort of book needs it's own imprint and it would be better received IMO.

The experiment of Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzig writing comic books needs to come to an end. There is no rhyme or reason to this nor is there any demand for it. This isn't fun and it doesn't help to endear Kamala Khan to a fan base that already hates the idea of her being a mutant. This celebrates nothing. Save your money and time.

$6 for something that should be big but "ultimately" ,tee hee, feels unimportant.

Bad art with beyond boring "stories" with no action for 99% of the book. Queer people might actually like to see SOME fighting instead of feeling in their SUPER HERO comics once in a while. Also, I thought Tim Sheridan was all but hurt over DC not supporting his Gay Lantern book and was done with them. I guess not....unfortunately. I think this book is a prime example of how agendas and identity do not really equal talent. Spend some money on quality talent to show you care about a group of people instead of simple lip service at a gouging ten dollar price tag. more

Aside from the usual hints of woke nonsense (I really don't like the inflationary use of the word "bigotry" as a catch all word for anything inconvenient or challenging), this was another surprisingly great read. I think I even noticed some Claremontian magic - the costume transformations, but also some thoughtful character dynamics. Uncanny X-Men is slowly becoming my favorite X-title (which, to be fair, isn't hard, since X-Factor and X-Force have been cancelled and everything else with an X on it is pretty much dogshit). more

Brainiac - A being without compassion - managed to revive the emotion and friendship that was imbued between the two. Wonderful. Lex is an incredible character. I loved this series.

The art is wonky for sure but a good story can make up for that, unfortunately that's not really what we got. A look back on Supes life that only a few newbies would want to read seems like a waste, and if anyone really wanted to buy the book for that it would need MUCH better art. This seems like a poorly written excuse to remind everyone how lawful good and noble Clark is with a strange hook just thrown in at the end to try to get folks back for more. This is feeling like a Bendis situation to me. I had high hopes for this as I'm not a Slott hater but it's just....bleh. more

I was a little worried in the beginning of this book with the simple dialogue and outdated feel but the book picks up speed quickly and reminds Ben Grimm fans why they love him and shows new readers the ever-lovin' blue eyed Thing in the right kind of light to make them life long fans. The art is serviceable and the coloring is wonderful. When I read The Warriors style intro I knew this would be my kind of jam. more

Lemire rocks.

This was the good kind of mindless violence and fun I was hoping to get from Wolverine:Revenge.

I went into this issue hoping for something fresh and compelling, but what I found was disappointingly shallow. The writing felt overly simplistic and strangely outdated—not in a nostalgic or intentional way, but more like something pulled straight from a half-hearted script from the 1950s, without any of the charm. The character responses to major situations lacked any real depth or originality, and the dialogue came off as forced and uninspired. For a first issue meant to launch a new chapter, this felt more like a misfire than a setup. It’s hard to shake the feeling that the creative team isn’t fully invested in making this book succeed more

Cutesy tripe that borders on unreadable. This is a book for fans of a certain type of writing and not specifically for fans of Supergirl so be warned. Of course if you know Sophie Campbells work then you already knew that. The art is too cartoony for me but is still well done except for the gopher teeth everyone has. The plump supergirl looks to be wearing a mouth guard in one panel. I'm not really sure why this type of book isn't under it's own imprint by now. more

Gotta say, art was phenomenal. And I liked what Kelly's idea was for this and message was heartful So, I can confidently say that if the hack fraud who works for the Spidey office as the main editor doesn't quit by 1000, then I will. The sheer level of incompetence this storyline has showcased has been disrespectful and horrible to see.

What was the point of Peter moping for three issues, cheating Shay or treating her horribly, breaking up with her and then getting back together. The only thing managed was to showcase what a joke that relationship is and how horribly Shay is been treated. At least show some character we saw from her in #55.

What was the point of that one-off between Peter and Felicia. It didn't change anything. Only lessened the relationship between them. Why where the rest of the X-Men here besides Juggernaut. This is the second team-up we see with them and Spidey and it means nothing. Why do they need to bring Cyclops and Magik here, if they don't interact with the main character at all. Don't they have trust that this will sell? Who is this for???

I like the idea of Cyttorak being the new casket. But what we have seen from this storyline, rules don't matter at all, so by the next time we see Cyttorak, Randy Robertson can be the new casket because why not.

And when the Fraud mentioned that it was Kelly's idea they started to work on, I got the idea how it went down. Kelly wanted to do a story where he showcased Peter's love for life and how it can affect even immortal gods like Cyttorak and motivate them to do good by seeing the beauty of life. It's a beautiful idea and Kelly does his best here to showcase it. The rest of this arc pretty much ruins it by disastrous editing, since there is no clear vision how to make it last for 12 issues.

And they even didn't get the name right for this. If all other mistakes and choices weren't enough, they can't even name the storyline correctly. 8 DEATHS OF SPIDER-MAN!!! WHERE HE FACES 8 SCIONS OF CYTTORAK. BUT ACTUALLY IT'S ONLY 5. HE ALSO DIES ONLY 5 TIMES. TWO OF THE SCIONS AREN'T EVEN SEEN, JUST KILLED OFF-SCREEN. more
