This is constantly a fun series. I really like the mechanical hand they gave to Cobra Commander. I love how he is getting betrayed by everyone - except Duke, who technically saved him. Willimason does a great job of giving the top characters arcs. I'd like to see Stalker, Snake Eyes, and Scarlet get bigger roles.

The artwork continues to be top-notch and fits the story. I am still confused as to why Rucka brought this back. This is a slow issue for being issue 5, with no real cliffhanger. Michael's girlfriend gets the drug while Forever stays in hiding. It says that the arc concludes in the next issue. So, I guess this is a setup with Sonja battling Forever.

I'm not sure I like this new storyline. The last issue set up Paradise Island and the absolute Zatanna. But Thompson decided to save that for a later time. Instead, we get this lame story about the consequences of magic. The art here is no better than Sherman's (of which I am not a fan), but I like the way Bergara does hair. Hopefully, this will be a two-issue arc and we can move on.

This is about the book of a OA, which is apparently a thousand years old with the pages still intact after being buried by rubble. Somehow Hals's name is in the book. I'm not sure I'm a big fan of the Mirror Mirror world idea told at the same time as the main story. Going back and forth on every page is quite jarring. I do like the look of Ming in the Mirror world better than in the main universe. The art is generally good and the pace is good as long as your head doesn't spin from going back and forth between stories.

Lemire has a pacing issue in this book. There was no reason to draw this story out for 12 issues. Then the ending happened at such a quickened pace, it gave me whiplash. Something felt off about this issue. There is far too much gunplay in it. They are trained to avoid bullets and disappear before the cops show up. That's why this feels off, because they don't do either of these things. In fact, by the end, there's a dead cop because of their presence.
Let's see where this goes, but right now I feel like it's a bit of a mess.

I'm still not sure why Rucka revisted these characters after all of these years. the story ended with Forever and Infinity escaping the family. He may have made a deal with one of the streaming services and needs additional stories, that's the only thing I can think of.
