NEW STORY ARC
After the rebellion’s bloody climax, a new order rises from the ashes. As Soluna confronts the consequences of her fateful choice, old wounds reopen and new alliances are tested. But in a world reshaped by sacrifice and betrayal, peace may prove just as dangerous as war.
There's more than enough in it to suggested that there is going to be more darkness on the horizon. It's not just a question of heroism. It's a question of a good intention and good intention gone wrong. And it's a question of cycles that might be repeating themselves. The poetic nature of the kind of myth that the creative team is working with here has a real potential to show something very sinister beyond the heroism. And it will be interesting to see exactly how it they ultimately end up, tackling that in the issues to come. Read Full Review
THE SACRIFICERS #17 doesn't ask permission. It carves up old power, stitches a new banner, and tells anyone yearning for bland fantasy to drink elsewhere. It's not flawless: some narrative threads fray at the ends, and the mythic grandeur can leave smaller characters adrift. Fiumara creates some beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of the story and the impressive imagery. Read Full Review
The art and writing on this book are fantastic. Love the world they've built and the characters they've developed. The twist surprised exactly zero people I'm sure, but it was well done. If this was the final issue of the series (gave those vibes) then it was a good ending point. I would have loved to see what Ralph Bakshi could do with this as a movie.
What a turn this issue takes. The story really ends here. It's smart for Remender to keep the story fresh by taking the story down a different path. That's the problem with Void Rivals, where it feels stale. I think this story is ending soon, but the characters are interesting and I'm looking forward to seeing where Rememder takes it.

Another great issue. I love the idea that Remender is writing the "big" stuff at the beginning rather than the end. It's different and incredibly well done.
