I really don't know where Aaron is going but I like it.

Stagnant and bland. The same tired story about whether Britain should accept their new Captain Britain dragging on for four years. A cheap #1 to boost sales when this is actually Excalibur #27.

Repetitive and nonconsequential. Feels like I've been reading the same story reworked over and ove again.

What a disappointment. Awful misogynistic undertones in the writing for the female characters and a unfortunate regression for X-23 after all the good work done with her for the past few years. This will definitely be the first DoX to get cancelled. Simply ugly.

Worst writing, worst art and worst leading character. Please someone save Laura.

The pacing is a big issue IMO.

Good Lord, wasn't expecting much, but this is a dumpster fire. Everything was resolved in the most predictable way and wrapped up in a hurry. Terrible writing, awful antagonists. Just terrible.

Pretty generic. From the dumb pirate premise to Emma Frost and Shawn doing what they always do to Kitty Pryde trying to come off as edgy. Nothing new too see here.

I felt like I've read an entire wikipedia entry on House of X/Powers of X/Dawn of X and the only new content was the last page.

No words for this one. While Marauders has been an average book so far, this issue drops the ball magnificently. That Emma panel was terribly handled. I'm sure Gerry Duggan had the best intentions; however, it comes off very cringey and tone-deaf. In the hands of a straight, white author, what is supposed to be sexual empowerment can often be interpreted as objectification. The cast as usual is underused. Not even with Kitty out of the picture, there's hope for meaningful panel time for Storm or Bishop (literally the only two PoC characters). Iceman serves no purpose other than being the token gay character who only shares actual dialogue with the other gay character. And of course, Pyro's only purpose is being the comic relief. To rub salt in the wound, the villains in this book are utterly uninteresting and dull. Nameless humans with big guns? Boring.

The way Dugan literally did nothing with Storm, Bishop and Iceman for 17 issues is upsetting. Thank God Storm is free. Emma Frost and Kate Pryde are the most dull and obnoxious duo right now.

Pretty underwhelming for the big opening of a Summer event. A bif prologue that goes nowhere.

Cute little story, but the ending fell flat.

I just don't understand the point of this character. It's been five years since her reintroduction, and it seems like no writer has managed to give her a clear identity. Everything about her feels like recycled leftovers from Betsy Braddock. Why does this character even exist if she's just given Betsy's personality, powers, aesthetic-and now even her old storylines? Kwannon being addicted to violence is literally the same arc Betsy went through in Uncanny X-Force Vol. 2 and X-Force Vol. 4. Some of the dialogue is almost identical. To make matters worse, they gave her a cliché backstory reminiscent of Black Widow. No wonder readers struggle to connect with her, she's just a patchwork of borrowed traits, lacking any identity of her own. But hey, at least the art was good.

This was a blast.

Leah Willians is just not good. She writes every single character as if they were 15-year-old twitter/tumblr users full on snark and banter all the time. It's exhausting. It's like she writes for the sole purpose of fishing for reactions of a small but vocal twitter fanbase.

Love that the writer gets to play with every character in the cast!

The art was abysmal.

Can please Percy come up with new antagonists? They've been stuck with these plant creatures for months now.

This book should've been revamped like the others.

This was terrible. Hickman's humor doesn't work at all. The jokes are cheap and slut-shaming should not be a thing in 2019.
