A shift in artistic direction does the issue no favors either as Manuel Garcia's thicker lines fail to carry the momentum and finesse that have made much of this volume soar, although Matthew Wilson's colors may not provide the best fit. That's not to say Daredevil #9 is poor work; it's a fine continuation of the story that offers several thrilling moments. So this book is still getting review bombed? Maybe it's not a ten, I think a 8.5 actually reflects the quality but getting 1.0 and 2.0 it's ridiculous.

Friggin ten out of ten. They manage to up the stakes and ante every time. I dont know how Matt makes it out of this.

Everything Zdarsky has done on this title has blown me away, and the stakes have never felt higher. The revelations in this issue were truly shocking, but so clear in hindsight. Of course I miss Checchetto’s art, but Garcia is a great fill in, and his style gives this particular issue an appropriately gloomy and disturbing atmosphere.

And then things fall apart, as must always happen when a broken person — no matter how beautiful their ideals — tries to heal others without healing themselves first. I've really been loving this (final?) stretch of the run, though the shock value of this issue is slightly blunted by Manuel Garcia's art — not because it's bad, but because the thick lines and murk set the wrong pace for a comic meant to move quickly and violently, the way Checchetto's nimble work does

I liked this issue. I'm curious to how the story progresses from here. It contained a lot of the usual Daredevil struggle.

It's another good issue, even if the story arc is feeling a little drawn out. Zdarsky drops some twists in here that surprised me. I wasn't sure about Matt's reaction to Leonard leaving, it felt a bit childish. And I'm not a fan of the change of artist. But I'm looking forward to how this wraps up. PS. I'm sick of the SAME (fake) accounts Review Bombing this series. I think this site is on its last legs, which is a shame.

I'm not a big fan of the beard on Matt, but the somber tone is told well through the art. Both Daredevil and the Punisher end in exactly the same way. I like the assault on the temple was good, but I'm looking forward to the Punisher and Daredevil going back to street level heroes without the supernatural element.

Between Matt wallowing in nihilism, the plot unraveling around him, and the art shift (the visuals aren't *bad*, but the style's very different and it falls short of this volume's high standard), I came down with a sad case of darkness-induced apathy here. It's a good comic, but it definitely doesn't make my short list of potential favorites for the volume.

Another issue where stuff happens, but I feel like the plot hasn't really advanced at all. The art was a step down, and the twist of *SPOILER ALERT* being dead and in hell kinda came out of left field. Not sure what the ramifications of that will be, but I'm growing more impatient with these last couple arcs. I'm not overly invested in this whole battle against the Hand...it doesn't seem all that well thought out. And I'm just so tired of the Stromwyns man...they've become so annoying as villains in this series. I miss Muse.

Not a big fan of how Zdarsky writes Matt in this one throwing childish tantrum at Doc Samson but I really liked the ending. It sets up some drama and interesting things for Matt to cope with. Hope Punisher will come back for round 2 because if he doesn't than it was a major waste of more than a year of build-up. Garcia's art was solid, I think a lot of people ride Checchetto's dick to much P.S. it's funny how other heroes are confronting Matt and Frank at the same time (timeline isn't stated so I am just assuming based on order of publishing) with Cap in both of their squads

This is going off the rails, fast. So much happens and we have so little time to process it. Stick and Foggy have been dead for a long time now and were agents of the Hand but before Matt and the reader can deal with that the Avengers attack the island, which is insanely unrealistic for these characters, especially using the recid. Was hoping that the Goldy storyline would be wrapped up and have a satisfying explanation by now but no. I’m convinced the reviewers giving this issue a 10 are just remembering how good this series used to be and convincing themselves this is still just as good.

Disappointed with an ending that was not an ending. Gsrcia’s artwork is pale in comparison to Chechetto’s.
