Welcome aboard my friend. I'm pleased to see this magnificent run clicking with more and more people.
This issue was an improvement over the previous 2 arcs since Watters took over. It was nice to see the Babs-Dick relationship get some airtime for a change, and the mystery with Dick’s sister is also interesting, along with the abandoned Titans Tower thread. I’m not a fan of the fifth-dimensional characters typically, but so far Samnee has made it interesting.
When the former Titans Tower is taken over by something monstrous, Nightwingis forced to partner with his enemies at Spheric Solutions to save those trappedinside. But what is this terrible thing that has come to Blüdhaven…and why does itseem to be after Nightwing himself?
My favorite issue so far. Waid crafts a great chapter that also works well as a standalone story. The relationship between Bruce and Dick (and Alfred) continues to develop and keep my interest, and the villains (Grimaldi, Clayface, Two-Face) are well-written and suitably menacing. This all adds up to a fun chapter as we head into the last act.
The General’s search for Batman and Robin’s true identities comes to Wayne Man-or’s doorsteps! Can the dynamic duo find a way to repel the General’s forces andstill keep their identities secret?!
A rare misfire by Waid for me. Nothing about this story really clicked for me. The story is set in the past, bronze-age adjacent as we’ve seen in this book previously, but the video podcasting gimmick seems pretty contemporary. The out-of-nowhere kaiju Batman super suit that seems to be the size of a skyscraper?! Never seen again to my knowledge. The lame villains. Even the artwork wasn’t umore
A menace is loose in Metropolis, but Superman and Batman can’t do anythingabout it until Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne find a way to escape…a talk show? Willit be up to their friends—Perry White, Lois Lane, Commissioner Gordon, and AlfredPennyworth—to step in and help save the day? Also featuring an all-new cameovariant cover appearance by lat...
This run is shaping up to be a very fresh and…quirky…take on the Man of Steel and his supporting characters. Slott takes some big swings these past two issues, and while I wouldn’t say they’re all grand slams, he definitely succeeds in getting a couple doubles and triples. The unique art meshes well with the offbeat writing and the combination definitely stands out among the other great Smore
Superman faces a brave new world—radical change sweeps the globe, and the ramifications of the Kryptonite asteroid reach a fever pitch! I really love where this story is taking us. The combination of Batman, Bullock and Penguin is one that I never knew I needed, but one that I’m now savoring. I knew that Ra’s was somehow going to figure into the story somehow. The guest artist did a very nice job as well, filling in very capably with a similar art style. This book is by far the best of the Bat-books being released these daymore
Batman and the Penguin have found themselves unlikely allies on a mission thathas taken them out of Gotham and into an entirely unexpected new location! Buteven with their powers combined, will they be able to unravel the sinister schemesof a (literally) bloodthirsty immortality cult?
Finally feel like we are starting to scratch the surface of what Barry was actually working on. Still not too much of a fan of the art, but starting to like the story more and more each week. I liked seeing that Omega Men graffiti, just letting you know. It is all connected. Really loving Grodd; I'm just not sure if he's against Wally or with him by the end of the issue LOL. Solid Issue.
Wally’s on the run and looking for any safe space to hide out. He findshimself in Central City and meets a kindly man who offers him a place tocrash at the youth mission. But is anyone truly safe when the fastest kidalive comes to their city?
Writing in this one is top notch. Very well paced issue, probably best so far in that regard.
Art is pretty good, bringing down rating a little.

Aside from Absolute Green Lantern, the Absolute Universe keeps delivering hit after hit with consistently high quality. Absolute Flash isn’t my favorite title from the line, but it’s still top-tier, especially compared to what other publishers are putting out. And the pacing seems to improve with each new issue.

The story is perfect, as usual.
I don't love the art. Some of the character designs pale in comparison to previous issues but the story is so compelling, it elevates the art.
Next issue please!

Lemire continues to do an amazing job building the character of Wally, his dad, and the world they live in. Nice to see some new familiar faces appear in this issue. My only complaint is the guest artist, who pales in comparison to the gorgeous Nick Robles art we’ve enjoyed in previous issues. That last page is a stunner, can’t wait to find out what happens next!

Good issue, though not quite as good as previous chapters. I feel like we got an anti-climactic, almost throwaway, reveal of who Memento really is, though the details are a bit murky. I feel like this story is being stretched out much further than it needs to be, and the guest appearance of the Demon seems contrived. Hopefully we get an ending in sight next issue.
Horrors, both natural and supernatural, await Batman on the journey to savehis son! Gotham City has many dark secrets, and no one knows them better thanBruce—but with Damian trapped somewhere in its labyrinth of shadows, thedemons, forgotten skeletons, and memories of despair that line the city are moreof a threat than ever before. Very disappointing issue. I’m still completely missing why none of the Green LANTERNS could use their LANTERN rings to escape the mind maze or escape from Evil Star and his minions. It seemed like a lame excuse to inject Space Cabbie into the story to help them escape….when both Guy and Simon are in possession of rings that could easily whisk them away from danger. I’m truly baffled by thimore
The Oa station crew and the field team converge as Simon Baz and Teen LanternKeli Quintela meet up with Guy Gardner and his new partner, Lantern Narf, as theyall race to escape the crooks of Necrocopia in one piece! All this, plus Space Cabbie!
A damn near perfect mix of writing and artwork that capture the joys of Clark’s youth. It’s no nice to have Waid at the helm of DC’s flagship Superman title with a clear and focused direction. This tale is a perfect blend of old school storytelling with modern sensibilities.
Witness Mark Waid’s triumphant return to the title alongside rising starartist Skylar Patridge as they take Clark Kent back to his early years on KentFarm. This can’t-miss story, with ties to the present, takes the Boy of Steelto unexpected heights as he figures out what being a hero truly means. Firststop: Metropolis’s Expo of Tomorrow! Will...
I think it finally hit me.
I have liked this series the whole time. I think it's great, but I have felt like i don't see the hype.
But now I do.
This is amazing.

I'm calling it, this is the best Batman series of the 2020s hands down. Nick Dragotta's art finally won me over, and I love Scott Snyder's writing this. One of my biggest problems with modern Scott Snyder is that he often needs half a page to just dump exposition, but its very sterile and boring. But his writing is digestible and easy to understand. I also like how different this Gotham and Bruce more

The best Absolute comic there is. The most compelling new Batman in decades.

After last issue’s disappointing conclusion to the Fries arc, Snyder comes ROARING back to full-form this issue with a truly terrifying introduction for the absolute version of Bane, which I think is far more epic and scary than his original introduction way back in 1992. Dragotta’s art showcases his best work yet, and the combination with the writing and coloring is absolute perfection! Brucemore

Ehh, I liked the conclusion of the last arc, but different strokes I suppose.
Another great chapter that moves the story forward. However, while it’s fun to see him punch bad guys, I’d like to get inside his head more and understand more about what he’s thinking. Art is gorgeous as usual!
The next big arc of this red-hot series begins here, as Superman findshimself caught between the opposing forces of the nefarious Lazarus Corpand the mysterious Omega Men. But Kal-El just wants to be left alone in theonly place on this planet where he’s ever felt safe. A place called Smallville.
Very intriguing things happen in both the present and recent past, but it’s all moving a bit too slow without providing any answers. One thing I feel confident about: I think both John and Guy are still with us. Yeah, they both got zapped, but I’m starting to think maybe they were transported somewhere. There’s no way the writer killed both of them off, especially John.
Hal Jordan has been overcome by his curse and has turned his sights on Jo!Can the new Lantern figure out how to hold her ground, or will her light be extinguished for good?
Another very good issue, albeit a bit of a comedown from the last two storylines primarily due to a lack of urgency and the lack of a major impending threat. This issue pauses a bit to catch its breath while setting up some intriguing future storylines that have already started to come to fruition by the issue’s end.
The Tetracide was a much greater threat than Wonder Woman had imagined forher first battle on the surface—but The Tetracide was child’s play compared tonegotiating the complexities and evils of man’s world. The mysterious Area 41and its Black Box Maze will be Diana’s greatest test yet…and what she findsinside will shock you!
Despite a new storyline that could have provided an opportunity for course correction on the part of the writer by making the book more accessible and coherent to fans, we end up with another confusing and incoherent mish-mash of pseudoscience and technobabble that will continue to drive most readers away. Read ABSOLUTE FLASH instead. This title needs to end and be rebooted ASAP! The cartoony artmore

A great first issue with a very challenging new threat to the Man of Steel that also manages to radically reinvent the status quo on his adopted world. A little too heavy on the recaps for my taste, and the art looks a bit awkward in places, but overall a great first issue that left me wanting more. Does a good job of creating a new jumping-on point for new readers, especially with a new movie on more
The summer of Superman heats up with a brand-new ongoing series takingthe DCU by storm! This book continues to defy expectations and find new ways to explore the characters’ personalities while revealing new surprises. The plot moves forward at a brisk pace and introduces a terrifying threat to not only our heroes but all of humanity. Hands down the best book on shelves each month. Kudos to this team for bringing their A-game every time!
It’s a trip through the psychosphere of Middleton as newly-minted partnersJohn Jones and the Martian follow the trail of whoever—or whatever—isresponsible for the surprising, destructive behavior of people all across thecity—and the world!
I don't feel anything for this comic and this run.
Has Blüdhaven’s first corrupt police officer truly returned from the dead to strikedown honest cops…or is there a sinister conspiracy in the heart of CommissionerSawyer’s department? Nightwing isn’t sure which might be worse—if he cansurvive long enough to find out.
Misses the mark once again, just as with the previous storyline. The villain had potential, but the motivations and lack of character development worked against it. I love Francovilla’s art style on some other recent titles, but coming in the wake of Bruno Redondo, it’s not a good fit here.

In the wake of Asema’s murderous rampage, a new threat to Gotham—andthe world at large—has been exposed. Still reeling from personal revelationsabout his past, Batman must take on a group obsessed with their ownfuture. A group that has targeted a dear friend.
This saga continues to unfold in fun and unpredictable ways. To me, the key word here is FUN, seeing both versions of our heroes encounter key characters and events from their past and future, while maintaining the seriousness of the threat that the LOD poses. It’s clear that Waid is having a blast writing this as it shines through on every page. Definitely the best this book has been in over amore

Another great chapter that moves the story forward in interesting directions while keeping the focus on the Bruce/Dick mentorship and character growth. Eager to see how Harvey figures into all of this. This is one book that seems to fly under a lot of people’s radar.
The General is on the hunt for the man behind the mask and is on the warpath. As the Dynamic Duo continue to stretch themselves thin and tire themselves outstopping various threats around Gotham, the General’s threat closes in on them!
Great issue once again! Layman and Woods have really found their footing over the last several issues. The Vanadia storyline, the JLU confrontation and the Deathstroke subplot are all very compelling and I’m eager to see where they’re all headed.
Nobody’s quite sure what to make of the latest addition to the Titans’ roster, butit’s got Cyborg feeling increasingly like Dr. Frankenstein. Another stellar issue that continues to explore Wally’s journey and ties up a couple of the various loose ends. The Absolute version of Grodd is also exciting and compelling, and I’m excited to follow this dynamic duo’s escapades in upcoming issues. One of my favorite Absolute titles each and every month!
Wally’s back is up against the wall as the Rogues bear down on him. Can heevade capture and harness some of his newfound speed, or is he already atthe finish line?
