This issue is full of great character interactions that set up for a potential crossover with the Hand. Luke Cage was one of the stars of this issue and proves that when you pick up the Daredevil series, you get more than just the Man Without Fear. Daredevil #3 (2022) takes the off path of ignoring the big surprise threat(?) to focus on the B plot of Matt's ascension to the Hand's new leader. The shift in the arc's direction is jarring, and most of this issue focuses on setup and foreshadowing, but the stellar art and engaging writing hold your interest. Read Full Review

When he doesn't go looking for The Hand, The Hand comes for Daredevil who is attacked by Elektra‘s old friend Aka who our hero has trouble locating. Toying with Daredevil, it appears Aka is a true believer in The Hand and its prophecies which suggest whatever comes next will not be a pleasant experience for the Devil of Hell's Kitchen (but also maybe, just maybe, our story can finally get started). Wow I loved every panel of this one! Fantastic character interactions, phenomenal storyline, and incredible depth. Zdarsky continues to write a incredible daredevil book with multiple layers and the emotional depth a great daredevil book has. With multiple players being moved into place building what seems to a epic battle down the road. I love what has happened with Goldy he is a wildcard who we've been introduced to and is now in the background to later surface. We don't really know what role he will play but it's incredibly intriguing to speculate different scenarios. There are so many big players so many different possibilities and so many different possible agendas. This is a brilliant storyline so far and as a huge daredevil fan I con tinue to be blown away by zdarsky's brilliant writing and masterful handling of both daredevil and Elektra more

Another banger. This issue was mostly just talking but it’s Zdarsky, so it’s clever and has a lot of depth. I especially liked how Matt compared his life to the “trolley problem”.

Damn, I was hoping that Fisk had killed the Stromwyns. Maybe they were only injured or maybe the Hand brought them back. But this was the best issue of the relaunch so far. The less Goldy the better

So the Guardian Angel plot was useless?? LMAO that plot was shit but we spent 2 issues on it, you can't just throw it away and say "Daredevil doesn't have time for that" And if he doesn't have time for that, WHY SHOULD WE HAVE??
