But there are no conspiracies against Daredevil to be found here - just the truth that his actions led to a man's death.
Faced with the reality and consequences of his actions, will Daredevil have the stomach to serve his term? Worse still, facing down a prison's worth of criminals he helped put away, will he survive it?

This issue is amazing, my only problem is that this storyline gets a backseat due to King in Black (I also liked the first issue very much and I am glad to see DD part of that) but this is just so good. I just hope that the same doesn't happen to this like what happened to the Netflix series. That it starts to suffer after the introduction of Hand and loss of focus on Fisk.

Daredevil Volume: 6, Issue: 25 “The Red Fist, Part: 1†Publisher: Marvel @marvel Writer: Chip Zdarsky @zdarsky Artist: Marco Checchetto @mchecc18 Colors: Marcio Menyz @mmenyz Letters: Clayton Cowles Cover: Marco Checchetto & Matthew Wilson Facing the consequences of his grave mistake from inside a prison cell, Daredevil’s solitude is interrupted by Elektra. She and Stick have discovered the means of undoing the Hand, an organization known as the Fist. But in order to succeed, the Fist requires a King and Queen, keeping to herself that in fact, one of which must die. Daredevil rejects her offer and doubts her desires to be anything more than a killer and challenges her to prove him wrong. Finding inspiration from a citizen of Hell’s Kitchen, Elektra aims to do just that and in an epic display of vigilantism dons herself as the all new Daredevil! Elektra’s Daredevil design is awesome! Amazing work all around from this creative team. I would have zero objections if they just left Matt in prison for the next two years and Elektra became the star of this book. As a huge daredevil fan who collects and reads every daredevil issue from every volume I can’t say enough about this current run! zdarsky and checchetto are putting together one of the greatest daredevil stories ever told!!!! This book is honestly pretty much perfect it is one of my favorites already. I love elektra as well and the way the two characters are in this one is perfect. I can not wait until the next issue is released! Give this creative team the awards they deserve. I’m so happy one of my favorites is in such great hands

The Elektra issue we’ve all been waiting for! She’s honestly the perfect successor to Matt and that costume is incredible. Checchetto is a really great designer. Also, more is revealed about Elektra’s motives for the things she’s done up until now. Another perfect issue in a (almost) perfect series.

This is another really great issue. What more can you expect? I don't really like Elektra, but I'm willing to give her a chance. I like the new costume, at least.

Beautifully carried, the tragedy that causes more tragedy around it. If it is laughable that I lock Murdock with a mask and every time I read that in any comic I laugh to tears, but because of the genius of the story we will let it pass.

If you'd told me 25 issues ago that Daredevil would end up in jail with his mask on, I would have probably rolled my eyes. Except this is really good stuff! The mask thing is a bit silly, but that's okay. This issue avoided jail clichés and instead gave us a great character turn and an exciting new direction for the issues to follow. Zdarsky remains, as always, at the top of his game.

I really enjoyed this issue, with one slight negative. They bring in the Hand and start talking about them and how they're important. Enough of the Hand, they've plagued Daredevil long enough, why are they always in every story? I get that they are important to the mythos ever since Frank Miller introduced them, but I was so looking forward to a run that didn't have them as an antagonist. Bendis did this perfectly where the antagonist were street level thugs mostly and Matt's internal problems. Soule's run, which was the run before this, also had the hand as a major player. I just think they're overused and I hope that they don't pop up again. But besides that, I love the tone of this issue and the characterization for Elektra. They make her likable and someone you can cheer for rather than a femme fatale character. She works as that, but it is nice to see a change of pace. more

Elektra comes to Matt in prison, but she brings no answers and gets no trust. She wants his help, so she'll need to earn that trust. The storytelling is good, the story itself is fantastic. The creators successfully revitalize the "been done" idea of Daredevil in prison by adding a brand-new twist with Elektra.

Really cool costume. I'm surprised this idea hasn't been done before, what with all of the main male Marvel characters having female side characters take over their mantle at some point. It's cliché as heck, but story-wise, it actually makes sense here, so I don't mind it so much this time.

This was okay. Definitely sets up some potentially interesting plot threads. I really don't like the idea of Elektra taking on the Daredevil mantle, but I'm willing to give it a few issues to see where it goes. Zdarsky's run has been on shaky ground lately but I'll at least see this arc through. Gotta be honest though, these last few months haven't lived up to the first 20 issues of his run.

Great setup but I'm not sure what to make of certain developments. Wait and see how Zdarsky takes it from here but at least it is delivered well as usual and Chechetto's art is fantastic.
